February Orders of iMac 27"

I'm proudly to report my iMac is on its way home! I ordered my iMac on Feb 18, 2013. I just received a text saying it has been shipped and will be delivered on March 12!!! The original date was March 14. I cant wait!!!! Time to clean my room and make it presentable for the new member!

PS. I wont be home for the morning part of the delivery arrive date, has anyone selected the "pre-sign for delivery," option? I don't know how I feel about FEDEX leaving the iMac at my front door when I'm not present BUT I don't want to have to come home, see a note, and then drive to pick it up!!!!

I ordered mine on the exact same day you ordered yours and my estimated date is currently March 20-27. I hope it's sooner than that.

Later in the day it changed to "preparing" and by 11:00 PM it changed to "shipped"!!

Estimated delivery is by 15 March!! WooooHoooo!!!:D:):):):)

Just received email from apple stating delivery date has further improved & it's now due between 14th - 21st March....

Considering it was ordered on 24th Feb this will be potentially 2.5/3 wk lead time...... And only a week from now........ Yippee!!

Happy days!! Just need to decide for good if I want the cyber power UPS & upgrade the RAM immediately........

Who normally delivers for apple in UK?!?

When the status is changed to shipped, a track shipment link will be generated on the apple store order page. Just click on that link, it will take you to your shipper's site with the tracking number.
 
Interesting developments: With my estimate at 5-7 days (it jumped again 48 hrs ago) officially up, I checked the order status and it was still processing, however, the 'ordered' date CHANGED to March 2nd from March 1st - I called Apple to clarify and got a lovely rep spouting some nonsense about business days and estimated shipping blah blah but as soon as she answered the phone, the date fixed itself and she gave me upgraded shipping. Current estimated delivery March 15-18. :D

I live in Oregon and its being delivered from CA and I just checked Fedex and it said the estimated delivery date is now March 9th, TOMORROW! 5 days ahead of scheduled:D. Do you live in the USA?

That is what happened with mine yesterday morning and then it shipped by 11PM that night!

Curious if anyone's aware of any stats that indicate where a lot of the iMacs with the various issues reported in here are shipping from?

Tracking information shows my iMac in transit (in Shanghai) with an estimated delivery date of 12 March. So the entire process... order to delivery look like it's taken only 18 days!

I ordered this on Feb 20th. It was delivered today, even though my delivery date was March 12th! I live in Milwaukee, WI. Good luck to those still waiting.

Ordered the 25th.
Adorama offered free 3 year extended apple care and free parallels 7 OEM as part of a bundle.
3.4 i7, 8GB, 3TB Fusion, 680MX, Magic Mouse, Wireless Keyboard.

Today, March 8, I got an email that my order had shipped. But when I went to check it was only the Parallels 7 OEM and the Apple Care which shipped.
The iMac is processing? Grrrr.

I felt a bit suckered... dang.
Anyhow, not sure why they would ship the P7 and AC first.
Hopefully, this means that they are prepping my iMac for shipping.

Very cool Leonavice. By that measure, I would receive mine by the 17 or 18th of March which is what I initially put my expectations at.
With Adorama though I was thinking they might have a bunch ordered since they have pre-set Bundles they are selling. I was hoping they might be slightly faster if their drop of iMacs came in all at once.;)

I suspect it could be earlier though, since mine came on March 9 (today) rather than the expected date of March 11 to 18. Of course that could be subjected to different regions in the world. Singapore is relatively closer to China than say, US or Europe.

Also, you are getting Parallels 7 from them? Looks like they are getting rid of their old stocks because Parallels 8 was released last September.

I think you are right.

I already have Parallels 7 and was hoping that their copy came with an upgrade license. It does not. I called them to see if it came with a license since I am seeing OEM copies of P7 on eBay with upgrade licenses included.
Still, I got a 3 year extension on Apple Care for basically $26 more than the same spec'd out machine at the Apple store.

Having an extra P7 copy with a license doesn't hurt overall. I can always sell it on Ebay I suppose. I usually upgrade Parallels when they offer me a $29 buck upgrade. I may wait until Parallels 9 however since the Parallels 7 I have works just great on my current 2009 mini.

Next day delivery won't count on Sunday, right?
