I'm getting a bit annoyed with this now, as most of you are. I ordered on Feb 18 (almost 3 weeks ago) and my estimated date is currently March 25 - April 8. That's still 3 weeks away at best. I just configured the same iMac on the Apple Store (Germany) and it said it would be sent in 1-2 weeks. It seems like previous orders aren't necessarily getting pushed forwards now they're catching up with stock.

i think u are right.

I've ordered the same spec iMac as you (I specced a Magic Trackpad as well, don't know if you did?) on February 4th, delivery estimate March 11 - 22nd, and mine is still sat on Processing Items. I'm in the UK too.

Checked credit card this morning and there's no sign of a charge having been applied (this is the precursor to "Preparing for Shipment" isn't it?)

Getting really worried about mine now, it was 3-4 weeks when I ordered it and it's been over that already. :(

Mine was 4-6 weeks when ordered?

I have a delivery date of next Thursday, I'm hoping like others it turns up a day or two early though.

I didn't spec with a track pad as I have bought one separately. However, I can't imagine that is the hold up?

Maybe worth a call if no movement by the end of the day?

Yeah, last time I checked (last night), mine hadn't changed either. Have you tried calling them? Maybe it's worth a try....

I second that. I called and complained about the same thing and although they could not do anythng about it they did give me a pair of Bose Companion 2 speakers for free. Which I'm selling to a friend to fund my RAM upgrade!

You're right, I think mine was 4-6 weeks too now that I remember..

Tried calling them a couple of days ago but wasn't really told anything new, just that it's still processing. She couldn't even give me any more information than I can see online beyond the fact that it's being manufactured in Cork, Ireland.

When I originally placed the order I got a call from my credit card provider anti-fraud team immediately because it was "unusual activity". The Apple lady told me it was showing as having been authorised though.

Oh yeaaah! Switched to "Preparing for Shipment" this morning!
* Wiping off a solitary drop of impatient sweat from forehead * :D
Yaaaaah! Status displayed now says "Shipped on March 6, 2013". The Fedex website shows that the IMac shipment originated from Freemont, CA, and its delivery date is showing as 3/13/2013.

However, the FedEx tracking page is reporting the following:
"IMPORTANT! A winter storm is causing disruptions and delays in IL, IN, MD, MI, OH, PA, VA and WV". Indeed, there was a winter storm on the east coast yesterday, so that's understandable.

In conclusion, no doubt that there's been an uptick in shipping times of the product. A question though: Does anyone know what shipping location maps to the area with the biggest reported number of iMac issues, as seen in this forum?

No offense but this is killing me! I ordered mine with the exact same specs as you on the 19th of February and I'm still stuck on proccessing. Also, I'm in NY and you are in Maryland so it is not like we are on opposite sides of the country. WTF!?
:(
But hey, Congrats and enjoy!! :)

@danNYtrack: Thanks. I understand. Would feel the same way too, if it were me. Methinks you'll be taken care of soon as well. This update just occurred this morning. Also, just got a text on my phone from the apple store, updating my delivery date from 3/13 to 3/14.

When did you place the order? Was it from the apple store online? When did it switch from proccessing to preparing? Sorry for all the questions. I may call and complain later and use your info as an example of why I am calling. I won't use any of your personal info I'll just tell them 'my friend in Maryland ordered after me and is getting it alrerady.' Thanks!

Bettter get your Time Machine backup ready!

Original order was placed on 2/23, on the online apple store. Check out the history of my posts on here. Most of that info is in my posts. And yes, i've gotten my external backup drive (Caldigit AV Pro - 4TB) already. It's TM compatible.

I just called them and explained how I've been waiting for almost three weeks and that my estimated date is still 3-4 weeks away, despite new orders being delivered in 1-2 weeks. The guy said that my estimated date was wrong and that there is definitely a queue so even if someone orders today under the impression that it'll take 1-2 weeks they'll get it after I receive mine. I just checked again and my date has changed to March 20 - March 27 (from March 25 - April 8). At least it's moving in the right direction! :)

I originally ordered this Imac:
•2.9GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5
•8GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM-2X4GB
•1TB Fusion Drive
•NVIDIAGeFrc GTX660M 512M GDDR5
•MAGIC MOUSE+MAGIC TRACKPAD-Z
•Apple WL Kybd+User's Guide-B
•COUNTRY KIT-B

on the 3rd Feb and had a delivery date on the 15th March. I cancelled this order on the 1st March and re-ordered the a top spec iMac below on the 4th March.

•3.4GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
•8GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM-2X4GB
•3TB Fusion Drive
•NVIDIAGeFrc GTX 680MX 2G GDDR5
•MAGIC MOUSE+MAGIC TRACKPAD-Z
•Apple WL Kybd+User's Guide-B
•COUNTRY KIT-B

When i placed the order the delivery date stated 4-6 weeks and delivery would be middle of April. Then 2 days later i changed to 2-4 weeks and a delivery date of 20th March - 3rd April. a moment ago it changed again to 15th March - 22nd March. Considering i only ordered it on Monday, i'm hoping it should arrive soon. I ordered online via Apple UK. I live in London.

I do feel your pain for those who have been waiting ages, considering i originally placed an order a month ago, i also cant wait for this thing to eventually arrive.

Just a tip, people that buy their iMac's via apple finance tend to have longer wait times than people who buy via debit or credit cards. At least that's what i have experienced in the past and what apple CS tend to advise.

March 20 - March 27 is the delivery date we would get if ordered today, so going back to the beginning of the queue every few days what a joke :)

Feel quite lucky at the moment!

Finally ordered -
27-inch iMac
2.9GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5
3TB Fusion Drive

Shipping was originally 4-6 weeks.

Today it's updated to 1-2 weeks, 18-25 March!

Can't bloody wait!!

Very irritating indeed! I guess they figure you have already been waiting a loooong time you can continue? I just canceled the order I have been waiting for since Feb 15th that never got beyond processing. There is an Apple store 1 1/2hrs from where I live and they have the computer I want in stock.....multiple computers in stock. So I can wait until March 19th for delivery or drive and pick it up today. Doesnt make sense at all.

WTF Apple?!

:confused:Finally got an update to my delivery date.... oh wait.. It went from March 19-26 to March 21-23. WTF?! Granted it is kind of an improvement but come on!! This **** is starting to wear on me. :(

Ok,
IMac ordered 15Feb 13
Delivery quoted - 4-6 weeks. 22nd March to 4th April.
This afternoon, updated to:
Delivery - 1-2weeks. 15th March to 22nd March
YES!!!

And - I'm on holiday in Fuereteventura at the moment - I return on 14th March - how good is that?

Ordered mine on the 13th of Feb. it finally went into preparing for shipment this morning.

I am excited to report that my order is also 'preparing for shipment'. I was ready to get an iMac in 2011 (switching from an awful HP), but held off until the Australian tax law changed in Jul 2012. Then in July 2012 I decided to wait for the new model (but made the switch from wintel to start using a rMBP). Come the end of the year, my business hit a rocky patch and so I had to save until near the end of February. It's been a looooong wait, so I am VERY excited by the prospect of seeing my 27"inch iMac soon. :D

Let me start by saying that I feel for the members who have been waiting longer than I have. I'd never imagined that Australia would ship faster than countries like the UK and Germany.

Please forgive my exuberance when I say "WOOOOHOOOO" as I just received my shipment notification.

Just got the iMac delivered! Oh yes....

Then when I open it up, it got triangles displaying all over the place as reflection of every icon or every program or every webpage I open up. I called apple and they are replacing it with a new one, so yeah, I have to send this one back and wait for another? who knows how much more I have to wait. arrgh
Not cool apple, Not cool.

Replacement order on March 4th, shipped on March 7th. Estimated delivery on March 11th. I just hope this one has no flaws. The following is the graphic flaws of previous one.

@Fhantompain: Where was your iMac built/assembled? U.S, China, or somewhere else? Thanks!

27 inch
3.4 ghz i7
8gb ram
680 mx

I live in NC, USA. I ordered the 768gb ssd. They told me all the 768gb ssd models are assembled in china regardless where you are located. Shipping from shanghai as of this moment. My first shipment was from shanghai too. I called them and if its possible for them to get me USA assembled one for replacement and they just told me its not possible.

So my iMac has now been shipped. But when I clicked on Track Shipment it has the wrong information....... or does it???

I live in New Zealand and It was only shipped earlier today.

Updated: TNT reuse old tracking numbers so as soon as it reaches the depot it will update. Was a bit confused. But excited at my iMac is meant to arrive on monday the 11th :)
