Just a guess but if you could fit 10 iphones in the same size shipping box as the macbook (the shipping box is bigger than the retail box) Then 320,000.

"By reducing our packaging over 40 percent between 2006 and 2009, we ship 50 percent more boxes in each airline shipping container. That saves one 747 flight for every 32,000 units we ship.*"

The only problem with that is air cargo flies by weight, not size. If the plane has a weight limit equal to 10,000 iPhones, FOR EXAMPLE, then it doesn't matter how big the boxes are. However, given the small weight of the iPhones, then yes the box size would allow more to ship.

Ha ha, you need to head on over to Bimmerfest. When we order our new BMWs we ALL track our cars through the whole manufacturing process, parts, paint and assembley, then on the train to Bremmerhaven, and on the cargo ship across the atlantic with real time tracking, then from VDC at port to PDC or dealer. This process takes 12-16 weeks and we check several times a day EVERY day through various websites and info from SA. Now thats OCD!!!

Oh believe me I know. I know. I bought my last car w/ the Euro. delivery program. When I got back from Germany I was tracking the boat every freaking nautical mile, every port stop. Then it hit the US and fell into a worm hole AKA US customs. That was the worst. A very long month and a half. My friend/family thought I was going nuts. Bimmerfest was my support group. :D iPhone tracking is kids play in comparison, plus Apple tells us when to expect it. Nothing like waking up and wondering "is today the day I'll get the call."

My FedEx tracking info still shows Lantua Island.

Anyone have an idea of when these orders will leave for Anchorage, AK?

Mine says In Transit from there (which is what yours likely says) and I believe we'll find out about ANC when it arrives there.

I posted the daily flights out of HK at the top of the thread. It will be on one of those sometime this week. Keep in mind that the level of service the iPhones ship is "economy". That means they have lower priority to get on a plane than regular FedEx packages.

I believe "In Transit" means it has started the process of being shipped to the destination. All of our iPhones are still in Hong Kong on the ground. It will say, " Departure from Hong Kong sort facility" when it actually takes off. That is what happened with my 27" iMac. I hope I am on the 11 am Hong Kong flight to ANC.

What I want to know is what is the difference between International Economy and IP direct? Why did Apple select two different services for each customer( some are economy and some are IP)? Does it mean my iPhone will be trucked to my location once it hits Memphis vs being flown?

Memories haha. I tracked my e90 across the atlantic at least 6 times a day.

Again I think you guys are reading the flights wrong. Fdx072 landed yesterday. Or I'm just dumb. Or does fedex use same flight number on all flights?

Edit: u guys do understand that it's June 21 in china today. Not the
20th.

Yes, FedEx uses the same flight numbers every day from the same cities. All other airlines do the same thing.

FedEx Flight 4 left at 10:50 according to Hong Kong airport website and mine still says in Transit. :( Hopefully, it is on the 7 PM flight.

If you haven't already seen it, when you track your package you can sign up for an alert notification if there is an "exception" that might delay delivery.

Ok, someone correct me if I am wrong.

According to another flight tracking system it appears that FDX4 did take off 1 min behind 11:00 AM local time. This information is from flightexplorer.com. I don't know how reliable that information is.

Here are the rest of the flights leaving Hong Kong heading to Memphis.

13:20 - FX076 - Tokyo -> Memphis - Departed at 13:17
17:50 - FX039 - Paris -> Memphis
19:00 - FX9168 - Anchorage -> Memphis
21:45 - FX098 - Memphis

Do all FedEX International flights go through Anchorage?

BTW - I cannot believe I have falling into this kind of OCD state over this phone.

Both flightstats.com and flightaware.com say it hasn't taken off yet, but list different scheduled departure times (11:18AM and 11:00AM respectively), odd. Still, if I had to take a personal guess, I'd say it did actually take off, and the flight tracking sites don't have the updated info yet.

My fedex tracking page has updated recently, but only to show that it left Shenzhen at 12:09PM. So.... if that's actually correct, I'm guessing my phone isn't on FDX 4.

Anyone wanna help me...? :confused: My FedEx tracking information says my phone "Left FedEx origin facility" from Shenzhen, CN at 12:09 p.m. on June 21 (local scan time). Is there any indication as to what flight mine is on? Thanks in advance if anyone can help :D

Mine says the exact same thing, maybe ours will be on the same plane, haha.
