woot!

just got mine woo hoo!! what a crazy ride.. i hope the new iphone performs better than this launch!:)

I live in Little Rock, AR and just received mine around 1:00pm.

One of the first things I did was load up Plants vs. Zombies, as it used to take over a minute to boot up and get to playing on my old 3G. Now it takes about 10 seconds! Very nice. Looking forward to investigating it further once I get off work ;)

Correction: Closer to 6-8 seconds. Really impressive.

I need to stop reading reviews... Im getting depressed

Updates have been locked up since 2 this morning for me. I keep calling the wife to see if it's at work yet. I had it shipped to work and then me and the baby both got sick so I had to take the day off which sounds like the exact opposite of most of the others on here.

Phew!!!

I just called FedEx now and the rep said that it was going to deliver tomorrow before 4:30 :( but than I told him about the email i received on Monday and he put me on hold so he could call the station here in Albuquerque. Two minutes later he said that my phone was on the truck for delivery today by 4:30!! :D now i am excited again

I don't know why I bother checking this thread. Mine has a delivery date for tomorrow and when I spoke to a rep they confirmed tomorrow's delivery date. I'm just a sucker looking for punishment ;)

Mine is due today from AT&T... FedEx status just updated to say it's in Oakland.

Maybe the wrong thread for this, but more likely to hit somebody who knows...

Can AT&T-ordered upgrades (same number, same plan) be activated just with iTunes, or do I really have to call them like it says in the e-mail I got, which I can't because I won't be home before 6pm (9pm EST) when the phone line apparently closes. I thought I read somewhere else that you only have to call them for new activations or number ports...

Well, I can share my experience on the matter.

I got an email from AT&T stating my phone has arrived, but to pick it up tomorrow. I received a voicemail from the AT&T rep that sold me the phone that I can pick up the device from 7am until closing. No mention of date was to be heard.

Since I see FedEx orders being delivered today for people, coupled with the fact that my FedEx tracking number displayed in my AT&T account says it will deliver today before 3pm, I stopped at the store to pick up my phone.

I was told that I cannot pick it up until tomorrow...

"But it's here, I paid for it in full, I can't have my iPhone?", I asked.
The rep then said, "We have an agreement with Apple not to give them out until tomorrow."
"Then why is Apple saying that people with confirmations for today will actually get there's today?" I then showed him the Macrumors post and text from Apple's email stating they will be delivered today.
Rep then calls his boss at corporate, boss says tomorrow.

So if I had ordered it from the company who makes it, I get it today, yet the company who makes it told AT&T they can't distribute their paid for in advance stock, until tomorrow?

I'm a bit puzzled by this and was looking forward to using the new phone at a friends birthday this evening.

Don't believe FedEx, I saw that mine has not updated on the tracking info, I called them, they said I would get it tomorrow, and I got it today. mm.

This is why you buy direct and don't do business with AT&T other than to pay my bill (that they seriously overcharge for given the poor quality of their service).

Mine was delivered about an hour ago. Fedex tracking finally switched to "On Vehicle for Delivery" although it still says that. Although it was not a regular FedEx truck, just a plain white van. First time I had seen that

i dont know in a (SF) city with so many homeless people, kind of makes these people (and humanity as a whole) camping on the street for cell phones- sad, apathetic, selfish, without purpose, etc. Just makes the world a more hopeless place. This goes for anyone camping out for anything thats not 100% free and valuable. I can just picture it now, the homeless thinking "I am on the street because i lost everything and have little to no choice, and he is here because he wants a specific cell phone?..."

Anyone in LA Get Their iPhone

I am still waiting confirmation that my iPhone was delivered. My girlfriend is waiting for it at my house while I'm at work. It is 1:17PM, and no iPhone yet. Anyone in the Greater Los Angeles area get theirs yet?
