I for one have no problems with paying for the upgrade. Look at the excitement it is causing! That alone is worth the $20.00 ROFL. It makes for good reading!!

Thats 8 and its not out yet. All of Windows past OS's were high priced for upgrades to the full OS.

I'm not faulting Microsoft for that, they make money off of software where as Apple makes money from hardware.

That is because Windows 8 is Windows 7 with metro UI

$20 sure as hell beats $200+ from Windows. Plus, its as simple as downloading it from the App Store and installing it. So, besides it being ridiculously cheap, its also easier than Windows. I say, bring it on!


EDIT: plus, you don't need to buy it. Stick with Lion. Its decent.

Not to mention that OS X is more stable, reliant, safe...

I mean come on... Windows 7 Pro is $449 where I live. That is a rip off.

Thats also a limited time offer. At the end of January, it goes up to who knows what price. 10.8 is $19.99 and will be $19.99 whether you buy it on release day, or 6 months down the road.
