In any event, it robbed the team of all the goodwill it had built up internationally with earlier performances in the tournament.

This is the typical American understanding of the beautiful game. i.e. most armchair American fans don't understand it all.

I did feel the RC was a little harsh but was ready to live with the consequences. The overturning was absurd. The average American fan cannot handle the rules and regulations.

The US should be banned from holding tournaments in my opinion. If they can’t abide by the rules you don’t deserve to be able to hold them.

Whilst I understand the sentiment and hostility towards the USA, as many have said, it was not fault of the team or their association.
The next WC will be 4 years away, and apart from the Olympics in 28, there isn’t another competition to be held there in that time frame.
By then, the mitigating factor will be nothing more than a ‘lame duck’.

Pretty angry at this mess with Egypt and Argentina as everyone else has said. Can Switzerland beat Argentina? I wouldn't bet on it but that would be so sweet.

And in a similar episode in favour of Egypt it wasn't even looked at by VAR. I don't have favourite team in this World Cup, but I really hate double standards.
