I *think* by strip, you mean their kit or jersey or uniform. If so, I completely agree. One of the best in the tournament.

And I don’t consider it frivolous at all. I collect the US team’s kits. There are 64 in my collection, including every one all the way back to 1990. The US team’s this year, much like their first game, are a huge disappointment.
Yes, I meant their kit, "strip" seems to be used in Brit English in this context; anyway, I think that it - the French kit (or team strip) - is absolutely gorgeous, stylish and classy.

Thanks. I’ll add it to my political platform together with “Abolish mondays”.

Second term of my reign in my global empire I expect to extend the worldwide paid holidays for the Olympics, winter and summer editions.
"Abolish Mondays"? Oh, yes, a heartfelt and profound amen to that.

When I was still teaching, gracing the groves of academe, I used to deplore the limits of their political ambitions, and, instead, would sometimes say to my students that my political platform would include moving the British Isles to somewhere west of Portugal; that way, we still get the Atlantic breezes but a far better climate.

It's 7-0 and felt like a practice match with no goal attempt from Costa Rica.
Well damn, I have no words to say, even though I missed almost all of the match, but it does sound like what you just said.

Now let us see how Canada v Belgium do next.

So, let's place our bet in the next match, I feel both teams are equally on the same level... seeing the many surprises we saw in this year's WC. I say Canada? the least expected to win?

Belgium is clearly the better team, and vastly more experienced (if not outright over the hill, especially with regards to their defense). But you have to go out and play the game, and anything can happen out there.

Germany's going home, aren't they? Spain putting so many goals past Costa Rica makes that a near total lock at this point.

Can’t see Belgium losing. But I’d have said the same of German.
Spain look good though. The climate helps them I think.
I agree, but seeing so far who has been winning, I mean, you got to speculate, who would ever have imagined Saudi winning against Argentina and japan winning against Germany? I am just keeping the box wide open in this year's WC, a lot of surprises.

If you are betting based on reasonable odds Belgium should al least put three past Canada.

But, heck, who knows, everything can happen.

Still even if Canada scores first seeing Belgium do a France-Australia on them seems more likely.

Canada is a darn good team. The class of Concacaf...though, considering the other three teams have managed a pair of points, that may not be saying much. I'm very much looking forward to this game.

A great first half by Canada, but they aren't finishing and allow Belgium one opportunity. Hopefully they can respond.

Well I am rooting for Canada though I think Belgium will win this. Too bad about the missed penalty (a wide shot) I must confess I know nothing about Canadian football currently.
