Hey guys!

After reading through a endless threads about the Apple Watch pricing, especially the Edition model I have come to a conclusion and would like to share that with you. Here are my final pricing predictions which I already posted last night on another thread:

Apple Watch Sport: 349$ (38mm); 379$ (42mm)

Apple Watch: 449$ (38mm); 479$ (42mm)

Apple Watch Edition: 949$ (38mm); 999$ (42mm)

Sports Band: 49$

Leather Band: 99$

Steel Band: 149$

Thanks!

I might break down in tears of joy if these were the real prices lol

You can cling on to that faint hope for a few more hours but I think you are going to end up disappointed.

Let me be clear. I do not expect that. I think it's he Sport will be l$349 and the Steel $499. But I understand the arguments behind it. It some ways , it does make sense, especially considering the order on the website.

Apple pretty much already confirmed that when they said the FT article was wrong. In any case, we'll know in about 3 hours.

So you've received confirmation from Apple that the sport is going to be the cheapest?

Jony Ive seemed to confirm it in his Financial Times interview. Plus common sense leads virtually everyone to the conclusion that the Watch made out of more expensive materials will be more expensive. Maybe there's a possibility that Apple will suddenly reveal the sport to be below $349, but most people find that to be unlikely. Even if it did come to pass though, that still wouldn't make the SS version the "cheapest."

If the order of the Apple Watch stainless steel collection is any indication, the Milanese Loop is cheaper than the Modern Buckle and Leather Loop models.

I doubt that means anything. Look at the Edition. I'm sure that the yellow gold with red Modern buckle and rose gold with rose gray Modern buckle will cost the same, or be similar. Surely it will be more expensive than the rose gold with fluorelastomer, right?

Or will it be more because they need to use copper and a little less ceramic to make it rose colored?

Exactly. I was using that as a counter argument as to why the order of Apple Watch, Apple Watch Sport and Apple Watch Editon is meaningless.

Let's make sure we have someone who understands Chinese listen to the live blog to translate the background feed.

Wow I was way off for the Apple Edition, $10,000 and up ouch!

However, I'm happy I can get an Apple Watch SS starting at $549. Only $50 more then I thought :)

$17,000 for the modern buckle versions is steeper than what I thought. That's quite a markup on those straps. I'm not surprised at the $10,000 for the base Edition, but this way I won't be tempted as I would have been at $7,500, and I can get the new MacBook, some adapters, and the space black stainless steel with a spare band, and still be way ahead of the game. :D
