The link also shows a picture of the iPhone Box labeled "iPhone X Edition". I question the name of this iPhone. "X" maybe, but I don't know about the "Edition" part. I also question if the sensors/camera will Blend in better With the top notch.

The typography on the box doesn’t match Apple’s typography on iPhone boxes. Might be fake or a test box.

It won’t blend perfectly, you’ll still be able to see it, but it will be very hard to do so unless maybe you view it at a certain angle under direct lightning.

Where are the other camera/holes? If you look at the other pictures above you will see at the top there are more than the one in picture you have posted.

Good point. There is certainly a contrast from what the OP posted and then the display cover being different.

With everything that's leaked by Apple (through the Homepod firmware) it has been confirmed that infrared will be used along with the facial recognition so there would be more than the one, I'm inclined to believe what the OP has posted over the second lot of photos, typically the photos are grainy and done in a hurry (after all no one wants to get caught).

Now that it's in mass production, I would say within the next two weeks, right around the Note 8 launch, there will be more part photo's and packaging materials surfacing. It's that time of year.

Additional holes are not necessary. If you can read Chinese, the business card indicates he's a rep for a glass protector company.

The four circular holes on the top of the fascia are:

(VCSEL-IR Transmitter) (Light Sensor) (CIS Front Camera) (IR Receiver)

Only the color CIS sensor needs high transparency and therefore a cutout. The rest of the cameras and receivers are mono.

Ok maybe that's my mistake then! No I can't read Chinese. The other photos have so far showed more than 1 that's why I called it.

Post #1 in this thread shows an actual OLED iPhone display module.

Post #4 in this thread shows glass screen protectors.

With current screen protectors, you'll notice most of them have cutouts only for the front camera. The light sensor/proxy sensor doesn't need one.

According to ET News, Samsung will only be producing OLED panels for iPhones at its A3 production line. The rumor states that if Samsung is working at full capacity, it will be able to produce around 124 million 6-inch panels and 130 million 5.8-inch screens in a single year. The 5.8-inch version will be for the iPhone 8 but which model will the 6-inch version go to? I think there's a high probability we'll see two iPhone 8 models this year.

Only if the yield rate is 100%, right now the rate is 60%. So it will be 74.4 and 84 million respectively.

Anyway, the iPhone 8 is itself expected to cost anywhere between $999-1199 so a Plus model would cost even more, $1399-1499 perhaps. That's too expensive, Apple won't be able to sell 74 million of those in a year, no way.

Who knows? Maybe the 8 plus will be the one rumored at $1100...

Wouldn't we have seen something in the way of leaks to suggest a bigger iPhone that 5.8" by now?

Have we seen anything about the rumored iPhone 7S by now?
Apple is going HARDCORE on security this year and they clearly mentioned that...

But I'm not absolutely sure of anything, maybe you're right :D

That might be true, only if Apple isn't planning to introduce a 7S and 7S Plus. If they are, and they're also planning to introduce a 8 Plus alongside an 8, then the Plus will definitely cost $100-200 more than the 8, just like the 7S Plus.

Well, if they release the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus, there won't be any reason to release a 4 year old design 7S.

Let's be honest here, don't you think that Apple should be embarrassed by charging €769 for the iPhone 7 32GB, while the far more superior Galaxy S8 only costs €630? I know that Apple is a greedy innovative company, but I really don't expect them to screw their customers with the 7S which will be worse than Galaxy S8, yet more expensive!

Charging more than €1200 (EU) for the OLED iPhone is just unrealistic and at that price it offers nothing more than the cheaper competitor. Now, since Samsung is also producing millions of 6-inch OLED panels in the same A3 production line (which is for Apple), I also expect Apple to release a 6-inch devise next to the rumored 5.8-inch iPhone 8...

I hope this is true, but who knows... :p

We have seen several rumors about the 7S now. This is the latest and confirms previous mentionings from months ago as well.

Oh cmon, that picture is from Sonny Dickson! This gentleman only posted photoshopped images in the last 2 years. I don't trust him, but who knows...

I mean the design of the rumored iPhone 8 and the screen size was leaked many months ago, but nothing much was leaked about the iPhone 7S like we used to see with iPhone 6s and 7. It's only been told that it will look like the current iPhone 7, but that's not a leak, not at all...

How do you explain the 6-inch panels which are produced in the same Samsung A3 production line as the 5.8-inch. I think this production line was reserved for Apple only.

Maybe they are saving stocks for 2018 iPhone?

So if we're honest, why'd any company be "embarrassed " to charge anything for that matter?! They produce something based on market research and also future predictions. You need to realise that these are not a small corner shop that's trying to make as much money by ripping people off from selling some sort of fake device. The price point they come up with is not just assumed and hoped for the best. They carefully calculate everything and then come up with a price point.

So no, nobody will be embarrassed. They know what sells and for how much. There's a reason why apple is the most profitable company on the planet right now.

Unless they're doing a late launch of the 8+ model (spring), then it'll be next year. There is basically no evidence pointing towards them doing both this year. However strong evidence to show it for next year.

Maybe they're doing testing for next year. This year is pretty finalized at this point, that could have been an uncertainty maybe back in February/March.

Maybe you're right, but in my case the only reason i use an iPhone is because of IOS. That's a pretty expensive OS tough :)

I can guarantee if Galaxy S8 was running IOS with Apple logo on the back (imagine we're in a weird universe), Apple was bankrupt by now.

Samsung are working on a Note 8 that's rumoured to have around 6" screen, maybe the panels are for those, there have been rumours that Apple are planning on a 6" OLED but for next year not this year!
