Looks good, does this confirm facial recognition I wonder?
Here is a another detailed picture from that guy, giving an idea about camera and face-id placement.

That picture shows that the front is 138-139mm?
Wasn't the iPhone 8 supposed to be bigger than the iphone 6/7?

No because the screen is bezeless they will be able to put more screen (rumoured 5.8") into a smaller phone.

There hade been some pictures that says otherwise
iphone-8-render-7-and-7s-800x525.jpg

Those are not official pictures they are renders and the middle photo is suppose to be the iPhone 8, the one on the right is the iPhone 7s Plus so the iPhone 8 is still smaller than the 7s Plus! i think it will be similar to what they have done with the recent iPad Pro 10.5 in that they will fit more screen in the newer version but it will still be a little bit bigger than the 4.7" but not as big as the 5.5" iPhone!

Since its slated and rumored to be glass, I'm guessing any black version will look more like a mirror. Not sure how I feel about that.

Definitely don't want an iPhone the color of a freshly minted penny. LOL

Interesting, i think the bezels are going to be very small, so far rumours are that a 5.8" screen will be put into a body around the same size as the 4.7" iPhone but not all 5.8" of the screen will be usable as i think some of it is rumoured to be reserved for the "function area" at the bottom. I guess we will see more of these as we get closer to the announcement.

I believe I'm correct in thinking that the invites should go out either Wednesday this week (23rd) if they send them out 2 weeks in advance (and hold the event on the 6th of September) but i if i remember right last year they sent them out a week in advance?

No doubt it will carry the same form factor as iPhone 7 with slightly bigger and wider over all deminsions. The display it self will have top and bottom function area for signal bar and battery. On the bottom there might be a tab bars that extend under this periphery area reserved for virtual buttons,

Apple usually sends media invites one weak before the keynote. Last year it was 29th August, if Apple follow the past it will likely be the same date Around 29 August.

Anyone think we might get a full working model a few days before the keynote? That would be awesome

This is what I would like to see. An iPhone 7s or 8 operating iOS or at least powering on. If it did happen, I think it would be Almost right before the Keynote.

I could actually imagine Apple launching it as a premium 'Edition' device as it does with the Apple Watch line... could be used as the justification for the high price its touted to launch with.

What if...

All three iPhone launching have a full screen display? What if the leaks we're seeing aren't a single device but multiple models? Could explain the existence of TouchID on some and not on others..?

Not gonna happen.

If these are real then the device is virtually the same size as the iPhone 7, yet numerous reports suggest it is 5mm taller and 4mm wider.

This is only the frontside without the frame, frame is gonna add some tallness and width.

so for all of us with iphone 7, we now know what dimensions will be the display, exactly the physical dimensions of the iphone 7, and add to that 2mm left side and 2mm right side, so we will have around 71mm wide, and like so for the top and bot, and we will get a physical dimension of 144mmx71 with near 7.5mm thick
[doublepost=1503317312][/doublepost]so no promotion on iphone 8??? what the hell Apple??? its very hard after using for UI of the new ipad pro to come back to a display without promoton

No. It does not add 5mm height.

If I look at my 7 Plus, the frame above the display seam is about 2mm, the one below is obviously also 2mm, so that adds up to 4mm extra height. On my 6S it seems a bit less than 2mm, but still at least 1,5mm on top, making it a minimum of 3mm in total. 5mm might be a stretch, but adding about 4mm wouldn't surprise me.
