FINALLY got a preorder thru apple.com

Same here. At around 2:30 p.m. central time. I finally got through after 7 hours of trying. Now waiting on confirmation email.

I got mine delivery through Apple.com. 32 GB model (if that makes any difference)

I just got through the whole process too! 😱

For delivery... 32 GB version.

Just a tip, but I tried Chrome, Firefox, and Opera... most of the time I got close to finished was with Opera. And yes, it was Opera that I just used to seal the deal.

I'm getting closer. I've linked to my AT&T account a couple of times, but then can't go any further.
 
Man that process was a bitch! I tried a few times at 10 or so, then just waited a while until later this afternoon. Must have tried like 15 times or so. Anyway- pre-ordered my black 32GB for delivery! For all of you who haven't been so lucky yet- it will happen. The website seems to be gaining some stability.
 
I finally got my Mom's order through. WOOHOO! I'm so happy. I've been trying all day since mine went through around 8:45 this morning.

Not sure if it helps, but I signed in to my Apple account, placed a bumper and a dock in my cart, then kept hacking away at the "pre-order" button and re-typing my phone number etc. Finally pushed through about 10 mins ago.

I think it will still feel like some sort of cruel joke 'til I get that ever-elusive confirmation email...

Kind of interesting: receipt says phone delivers on June 24 with the free standard shipping, but the bumper will arrive anywhere between the 25th - 29th. I'd better avoid alcohol those days - that's what got me into this frantic mess in the first place. R.I.P. 3G haha
 
Another success story here. Got a 32GB preordered and the order shows up successfully when checking Order Status. No confirmation email yet, but I'm sure it's coming.
 
Since I am in here, I have a question. It has to ship to the att billing address so I got my mother to change our billing address to my address at school, but it kept her name. It won't be a problem that it has her name when it delivers right?

Firefox kept giving me the same errors everyone else is getting for AT&T and Apple. Tried Internet Explorer (I know I know) and got through on the 5th try.
 
I just got mine around 4 EST. I am excited but will feel better when I get my shipping address changed. I need to figure out how to keep sending my AT&T bill to the parents, but have the iPhone 4 shipped to me. 😀

At one point I had Safari, FireFox and Chrome on my MBP attempting. And IE and Chrome on my netbook trying to get 1 to accept it. Of course it didn't work. I eventually got through while using only Safari.
 
I'm wondering about doing an address change. I would rather have my phone sent to my work, but I don't want to jack anything up by changing the address on the order at Apple.com. Hmmm.

I have been trying since 8:00 AM with no luck at all.
