No confirmation e-mails for either of my orders yet either...keeping my fingers crossed...

I never got a confirmation email either, but within five minutes of changing my address I got an email confirming the change.
 
Yes, I was finally able to order with a new plan. I thought that was my issue as well when I started seeing other people have success with upgrades only but I was finally successful (after 9 hours). I did get stuck on 2 "processing information" screens for what felt like forever. You just have to be really patient and hope it doesn't time out when trying to ping AT&T's servers.

Did anyone who got their order through start a new plan?

Maybe that is why mine isn't working yet? :/
 
Where is the site updated, looks the same as it has been all day.

Servers must be loosening up!

I was one of the MANY that was up at 12 waiting for the store to come back online. then 1. Then sat there mashing in my phone number/zip code/soc repeatedly for a good 2 more hours. Its finals so I had to be up anyway...Gave up for the night and went to bed. Tried some more from 7:00-9:30am this morining. Went back to sleep hoping things would get better.

Ive been submitting my info for the last 2 hrs in both firefox and chrome NON-STOP. Chrome has been much faster navigating apples site, and didnt hang up nearly as much as firefox.

Then for the 6th time or so I was able to get to the pic of the 32 gig and it finally let me go further to add it to my cart! I didnt believe it until I saw that lovely Thank You image above....

Finally I can go about the rest of my day ;)
My only real gripe is that apples site doesnt remember filled in info fields...woulda been nice but Im like super good at typing that ***** in now!
So glad I didnt cave like many out there and order from the nightmare that is At&t, or have it reserved for pickup at a local store. Gonna be pretty sweet to have it overnighted straight to my door!

is it the 24th yet????
 
Success at 2 PM PT. No change to voice/data plan.

Does your orders status say "No voice plan" too? For some reason, that's what mine says and I'm getting nervous it somehow cancelled voice on my new phone. UGH.
 
I just got through on my iPad for instore preorder, but it never asked me to sign in to my apple/itunes account...

I got the We'll see you at the store message at the end, but is this a bad sign, that I have no email connected to it and tehrefore won't be receiving an email from them regarding it.

Anyone? Should I be nervous?
 
I've been trying since 7 this morning. About 2 hours I will have been trying for 12 hours straight!

I guess AT&T didn't expect this much interest!

They should have the site working by now. Completely ridiculous. Also, i should be able to pay however i choose.

That just means there were no changes, I believe. Mine says the same, along with "no text plan," and $30 for data. I'm on a family plan though.
 
Finally!!!

I'm so jealous! It's going on 9 hours for me. I sent an email to Steve Jobs about this epic failure. Few hours later, I get a call from someone at Apple. They could have only gotten my work # from that email. Of course, after the guy dropped Steve's name, I now can't remember what position this guy holds, or how exactly he got my number.

He wanted to find out if I had been successful (no) and how far I got in the system (eligibility check). He gave me his #, let me know they are working on the problem, and asked if I wanted him to call me with any updates (um, yes please).

I'm still frustrated beyond all belief but now at least I won't give up.

seeing that how my work day is just about done, at least i FINALAEEEEE got this accomplished! 32gb with a pretty pink bumper
 
Do AT&T and Apple not have pre-"go live" meetings to cover all the possible issues and technical needs? Is there not some type of joint IT task force that's responsible for this clusterf*** of a failure?

Notice Apple's site does work......

It seems to me too that Apple added the switch to instore pickup along the way. I don't remember getting that for the first 5 or 6 hours.

It would seem to me to an AT&T issue with their DB server.

I THINK I got through the pre-order process. But it never asked me for my credit card????

It was for in-store pickup. Here's the screen I got. Is this the same process others went through?

yes that's what i got but it never asked me for my apple sign in.

Do you need an apple account to preorder the phone? maybe that's a better question
 
It would be funny if all the orders we are placing that don't go through really did and it's just a Web error that says it didn't go through.

ON June 24 we will each receive 1000 iphones!

It never asked me for my Apple login either.

So:

I'm through to the 2nd processing info page after choosing the phone for the 5th time. It will error on me again.

I really hate this, and that there's rumors it's sold out. I'm about to go ballistic.

All you have to do is walk in teh store with your social security number, license, and credit card is what it said in my dad's email (they asked for his log in when eh ordered in the morning)
