Never heard of them:).
Neither did I, until I starting to look for a VPN for tvOS 17 beta.

I'm only using it for testing until more stablished names start to roll their apps (thus no endorsement from me). BTW, seems to be working fine so far.

Thanks. If you could give us a report...the test and reviews on them wasn't so promising. I heard of people getting the 1 month plan then being charged for a year with no recourse. Others stating their VPN service is very slow, disconnects and they log history. Just what I have been reading...look forward to your experience and I am chomping at the bit to get a VPN on this asap!

Ok so looking at the flowvpn website, this gives full vpn app functionality on tvOS, the same as every other platform. You can choose from multiple different countries. This was one major glaring omission in Apple TV, and the last remaining reason why many wouldn’t buy it. As soon as ExpressVPN bring an app out I’ll pull the trigger on the 3rd generation 4k tv. Great news.

Interesting so Express VPN have officially confirmed today on Twitter in response to somebody that they are exploring the possibility of VPN support via ios17.

Any updates other than FlowVPN? I have not read anything good on them…right now I have Nord and my contract is up in October so I’m curious of options before renewing…I want to make sure they’re working with Apple.

Nope, nothing new fromNordVPN or any other VPN provider.
But I bet NordVPN will be one of the first ones to release an official VPN client once tvOS is officially released in September-October.

So I got two free weeks with “FlowVPN”…Don’t waste your time. There’s no VPN split tunneling so it becomes completely useless when watching Prime, Pluto and the like. You have to disconnect then reconnect between IPTV and other services I mentioned. How could they not have split tunneling?

I have been using Private Internet Access for a VPN for several years for Mac and Windows and have been generally satisfied.

For the Apple TV they offer "Smart DNS" which, as I understand it, (I am no computer expert, so please be gentle!), is not the same as a real VPN Tunnel, but it does spoof internet sites into thinking that you are in a different Region or Continent.

So I am able to reliably stream all kinds of US sites from Europe, which without PIA I cannot do. So PIA must be spoofing my real IP adress, no?

I find this very useful.

Here is the relevant PIA Web Page:

I hope somebody finds this useful!!

What PIA is doing is not any different than what's being done by Getflix, DNS4ME, ControlD, etc.

The AppleTV is bypassing your ISP DNS servers and using the DNS server provided by PIA.

Has it been confirmed yet if these VPN's will let you stream content still in apps when using them?

I am assuming they do as they will allow it in iPhone or iPad. Just wanted to be sure lol.

I haven't read anything good on them---they log information and sites for up to 10 years plus I don't think it helps much being in the USA. Same with PureVPN, they have contacted the FBI on several people regarding their searches. They also saved logs as well.

No thanks....

You posted the wrong company. His is SwizzVPN, which has been good thus far.
