I’ve been testing the TestFlight beta versions of TailScale on tvOS. Works automagically! TailScale is reported to be working on mDNS Multicast discovery via Tailnet.

PureVPN, UK VPN, IPVANISH, FlowVPN, SwizzVPN, Tailscale & SafeShell VPN are listed in the TvOS App Store.

Still waiting for NordVPN, I have almost a year to go with them before my account expires!

Great new guys!!!
There is a VPN client which supports uploading your WireGuard or OpenVPN config files.
"VPN Client Bee" it's called and it works perfect with any config files I throw at it.
Exactly what I was waiting for.

That is very good news. It’s a little expensive but not prohibitively - $25 in Canada. I’ll wait a little and see if OpenVPN adds one. But I’m glad we can technically add our own config files. That’ll be a big help for me - it’ll let me use my home cable tv from outside the home on an Apple TV.

Thanks for the heads up!

Using it to connect to NordVPN servers, works very well. Still waiting forNordVPN to deliver a native client.

I opened a support ticket last Monday and they answered that the NordVPN developers are currently looking into the native tvOS App.

Let's hope it doesn't take too long, I'd like to stay with NordVPN as it's the best.

I love Nord VPN but my contract was ending and I had to make a decision and went with IPvanish. For what I'm doing I believe they're both very good. IPvanish had a slightly better 2 year price and already on Apple TV. If my contract wasn't up I would have stayed with Nord....

I've been having tons of problems with Nord and my sub is up in like 3 weeks.

iOS andiPadOS devices are not auto-connecting even though I have it setup to do so, 2 or 3 times a day I have to manually connect.

I have an open case with Nord and unfortunately they are just stepping through all of the usual things I have already done.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Unfortunately VPN Client Bee didn’t work for me. It’ll connect to my OpenVPN server for a split second but then drops. I have no issues connecting from OpenVPN directly.

I have had similar negative experiences with NordVPN using MacOS ever since I’ve moved to Ventura. Disconnects randomly, some times several time a day, won’t connect at all and NordVPN solution of deleting and reinstalling is very inconvenient (but it does work). I currently use it on several other devices and it is usually ok elsewhere. Occasionally becomes very slow under iOS and requires I switch servers and seems to be incompatible with more and more websites and apps.

I got a very good deal for a 3 year subscription. I’m almost 2 years in and will change when the current subscription is up.

Alternative are under discussion on another thread: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/can-anybody-recommend-a-great-vpn.2178452/

Interesting. I use TorGuard which I absolutely love as it is one of the few VPNs I have used that does't slow things down terribly....just wonder if they will make an app.

I switched from Nord to IP vanish as I was tired of waiting for Nord to show up on Apple TV. IP vanish works great, but doesn't work for Hulu......I have to turn off VPN. Anyone know a way around this? BTW, there's no split tunneling, that I know of for ATV......

Nord should be coming soon I understand, I'll definitely be giving it a go. I was using another one but for my use case it didn't work very well.
