I ended up going with a Samsung YP-P2.

I love the iTouches, but the P2 has better sound quality, stereo bluetooth, and a microphone. I like the features more than Wi-fi =\

Honestly, the ability to pair my mp3 player with my cell phone and keep my phone in my backpack while I walk is amazingly convenient. No more clutter =D

If the iTouch improved on these lacking features that would benefit more than Wi-fi, then I'll purchase one. If not, well, I'm going to pray for another similar player from some other company that will give me what I need with more capacity

Doesn't having two devices contribute to more clutter even if one of those devices is in your bag? And to listen to phone calls with the P2, don't you need headphones with a microphone as well? Why not just get an iPhone, or any other phone with an MP3 function?

what else can be done? heres some ideas

!st let me say that i love my ipod touch! great accessory to my powerbook 15"

I have not seen any benefits to autofill!!!!! All it does it screw me up! And it doesnt even seem to learn from experience! If your going to autofill, freakin finish a word that i type actually type frequently, LIKE MY DADGUM email address! or My Name, or number! The redundant stuff that is annoying! How do you disable someone please!

This is off subject but my powerbook is still F'n going strong! after 4 years of hardcore audio production, and everything else! drops, burning discs while driving!etc I have only had to replace hard disk which cost less than 130.00. And the power adapter, but i just have repaired that myself too a couple of times by resoldering the broken connection. I wish I knew others that have simply discarded old power books for simple things like a bad hard disk! They are great machines, and can be repaired easily!

Back to the Touch! I bought after only playing with other's Iphones, Seems the touch operates more consistently, maybe because its not having to perform tasks related to ATT's network??

Here are some things I wish it would do though....

Send an attachment through email
be able to access a home, or documents folder, where can open/view docs, audio, and/or video. seems possible
choose multiple photos to send in email from the pictures app
play 24 bit 44,000 Hz audio, Itunes as well!
of course, do whatever to either build a flash player, or something so Adobe or whoever will get movin on it!
I wish it could be put to sleep without locking
why can you turn horizontally for safari but not mail?
the feature to "arrow" down through consecutive mail, seems could be a little easier!
Safari on pages such as forums that are sometimes extremely long, there is no way to jump back to the middle, or top w/out reloading.

I think they are doing a great job, and really enjoy surfing and email, listening to music, w/out carrying my laptop around. which is also less of a beating for my powerbook which is covered in dents that look as if would render a definite fatality!

I haven't moved to leopard yet. Does anyone care to comment on how its kinks have been getting ironed out since release? Any improvemnets from 0sx? losses?

Kind of went off track with this, apologize, just rare that i post!

Here here! I understand why apple won't support attachments yet, but this is such a huge part of emailing that they should really release something soon. The attachment problem for me is why I still have a blackberry and not the iphone.
