That could be down to Windows laptop users doing actual work and MacBook users just browsing Facebook for all I know. That isn't conclusive of anything.

Also, an airport seems like the kind of place you may see a lot of old/cheap laptops too, which will definitely have poor track pads. Most businesses provide rugged but far from premium laptops to their employees.
I’ve had to teach several coworkers of mine how to use trackpads on the MacBook Pro when they were issued a Mac instead of a Windows laptop. They never even attempted to use the trackpad. They connected their Bluetooth mouse to the laptop instead.

Having myself struggled with Windows trackpads over a decade ago, and having recently tried trackpads on Windows laptops at the Best Buy, I really do not think there has been much improvement in the last decade.

Maybe they don’t need my business, but there is no need for you to be so rude.
Rudeness is the American way.

Wonder how much more glue they will be using and how just much harder Apple will make it to service? Soldered in RAM? Soldered in CPU? Soldered in SSD strip?
There is no SSD strip. Just the individual chips soldered onto the logic board.

I’ve got a question and concern.

2018 MBP 13” with quad i5/i7 16GB/512GB touchbar configuration with ordering via Apple Store the date for Store pickup is August 3rd for Apple Eaton Centre in Toronto ON.

Education discount doesn’t show a Beats Solo3 selectable option am I missing something?? Also anyway for the shipment date to be less??

I am sorry to say this about Apple as a long time fan, but I think Apple has reached that state where they feel like they can force their products and prices on people because people are too tied to their ecosystem and they have the upper hand. Its no longer '99 when Jobs needed to create tempting products to bring consumers over to the Apple side.

We need competition, and we need competition now. There was a Google for Yahoo, and T-Mobile for AT&T, and Playstation for Nintendo, and now its time for a new company to emerge to compete against Apple and Microsoft. 2 Operating systems for the 7 billion people on earth is just too restrictive.

You probably are about 20yrs too late as Jobs mentioned with Microsoft non-voting shares that MacOS+Windows.

There are any number of OS choices. The problem is application support for them. Without applications an OS has limited value.

Applications needed for systems in certain areas. Some it’s shells that execute most of what a user requires.

Lucky. I ordered mine at 7:30 on the 12th...still no shipping info... ☹️
Really?

I ordered the i9 on the day it was announced and I received it on Wednesday. I ordered an i7 on Wednesday and it will be delivered on Monday or Tuesday.

The reason for two? I am not sure which one I want to keep. I haven’t opened the i9 yet...
