Anyone in Australia getting pink bands? Or can we just confirm they don't exist?

I'm pretty sure they are back logged. I ordered my wife's with a 12:01 PST confirmation and still just processing. Bad color choice I guess.

So that's what the packaging looks like for the sports. Make sense. Glad I got a SS.

Two unboxing articles for the sport watch and two different packaging! rectangle and square box...
So which is the real deal ?

Yes, because who would want to wear such package

still says "June" just like the ones that were ordered like an hour later on april 10th. i guess "June" is just a placeholder for "we have no idea"

I think it will be long before June. Mark my words.

I would say for most products, that generation 2 is when you are just a user, and no longer an early adopter.

Enough with this early adaptor BS (trying to justify a reason for not getting one and making yourself feel better) :D

I didn't order one on purpose. I've been an early adopter on most Apple products, but I'm sitting this one out. I don't doubt this product has a strong life ahead of it, but I'm just not honestly interested in generation 1. As I mentioned before I'll maybe pick up a Gen 1 used for cheap, or just wait for Gen 2 or 3.

Ok, fair enough. But I think we are yet to see the full potential of this device. It's just like first gen of iPhone where AppStore didn't exist.

My unboxing

I was really surprised at the shape of the box that I received from the courier as I thought it was going to be much squarer.

I dunno, I love my first gen iPhone. Still have it, it's my bathroom streaming music player. It was clear what was amazing about that phone. The watch is amazing, but for me it's not amazing in that "wow this will change everything" way that the original iPhone had.

Again, I'm looking forward to the future versions, they might bump my excitement level up a bit. For now, everyone can try it out, and in July or August once everyone has really used it for a few months we will get honest long term opinions. Can't wait for those.

Can knock the product but you can't knock Apple's superior packaging and presentation.

I can it's horrid, cheap and nasty.

White plastic cheap box, either a long one or a square one for a device that costs from $349 to over $1000

Now go and look at the packaging a proper watch comes in from a proper watch maker selling them in that price range.

White plastic cheap injection molded box, all of $1 worth

Hmmmm my 42mm sport space gray just went to preparing shipment (here in Australia), why couldn't it have done that last night.

Will have to wait until Monday now :(

Its good to be on the 'other side' of the fence :D

Nice to see also Apple ramping up supplies too.... Maybe mine will change from June. :apple:
