The guy is human and living.
The phone is just a phone made out of plastic, not living...
Who cares if he dropped the phone? It's just plastic, calm down
Glass too

Hahahaha, the negative reaction from so many of you is exactly what makes videos like this hilarious.
It's like that one video of the guy who waited forever to be first in line for the Nintendo Wii launch, then when he got it immediately went outside and smashed it in front of the rest of the line.
But real talk, I think if Apple designed a drop-proof or at least drop-resistant phone, that would be a HUGE selling point.
These sorts of videos are emblematic of the disconnect too many self-entitled young rich people in the western world have. Its not done in the name of research or investigation or consumer interest, its reality television. Whoring yourself out for money and a slice of fame.
The sad part though is we reward people like this instead of shunning them. Im sure they will get the business they wanted from this little stunt.
Look at the gentleman in the green sweatshirt. He looks old enough to have grown up just after World War 2, when many people throughout the world, including the United States had to deal with rationing of goods & food. 60 years later someone who seems to have never dealt with adversity destroys a phone with a glib smile on his face, lapping up the incredulity of those in line.
Im not one of these people who thinks we should be embarrassed about the good fortune we have to live in a part of the world where $200 can be spent on a phone instead of it being my monthly paycheck, but this is disgraceful.
Things will not get better in this country until behavior like this is driven out of society.
Does anyone know which cases best protect the phone, as far as shock absorption and so on....
I'm buying my first iPhone this week (the 4S, of course) and I am always on the move. I'm very prone to dropping my cell phone and I don't want this new one to get hurt!
Really? Would expect an iPod (with a screen) or a compact camera dropped from this height on a stone/concrete surface to survive? And would expect anything with a large glass surface, ie, including non-iPhone smartphones with a glass screen to survive multiple falls like this?A phone should survive a fall like that. It's ridiculous that it breaks so easily.
this is what's wrong with society/youth today nothing but attention wh*res
It's funny that so few people seem to grasp that this video is actually an ADVERTISEMENT for their business.
It has nothing to do with being a jackass, being an attention whore, "entitled" or any of these other ridiculous comments.
They are in the business of repairing iphones, so they didn't "break" it, they just have to replace the glass. hell, even if the phone was completely destroyed, it only cost them $600 bucks, and look at all the free publicity they got from it.
In less than 3 days they've gotten over 120,000 views of their video with their website splashed all across it for about $600 bucks (but probably far less). That is an amazing ROI for advertising targeted directly at their target market (iPhone owners).
For anyone who understands business, marketing, or advertising, what these guys do is absolute genius.
Advancements in the glass. And under it.
Made from the same materials used in helicopters and high-speed trains, the Retina display glass is chemically strengthened to be harder, more scratch resistant, and more durable than ever.

Watch this part of the original iPhone 4 production video! It shows how strong the glass should be!

Looks like a quality management problem.
Crazy idea: Take care of your stuff.
It's an viral video advertisement for their iPhone repair service business. Do you whine when you see a commercial for laundry detergent on TV when they intentionally pour coffee on a white shirt? "OMG they ruined a perfectly good shirt!"
