First broken iPhone 4s! 1080p drop test

I think that is a little ignorant to do on the morning of the release day, as people are waiting in line to buy one. Most likely, someone in that line will not be able to get one that day because it's sold out. And that idiot had to buy one that day from the store... just to break it. Self business promotion or not... what an ******...

Sorry but why would anyone care what he does with his phone he paid for with his money?

Yeah, it's a jerk move, but those of you promoting violence against a person or company for nothing worse than destroying their own phone paid for with their own money need to rethink your priorities. Siri is NOT a real person. No ACTUAL harm was done to anyone. Only mentally unstable types would see this as a reason to get violent towards another human.

I've no issues with rich folk, this guy just loves the attention but what a waste of a dam fine iPhone :(

Nah, I was promoting violence against the kids who were yelling spoilers at people waiting for the Harry Potter book.

And 'Im not sorry for it. I just wished them broken noses (cause they wouldn't care about insults cause they obviously found that amusing).

They'll get over it. Just like the harry potter fans will get over the spoilers being yelled out.

That is why I never give my phone to anyone, what a waste of $ and time, especially when there re people who really want to buy one to use, now this guy just wasted time and money.

This was stupid the first time, and it's still stupid now.

If you're going to do a drop "test," then actually do it. See how it holds up from different heights, try scratching it, etc. This is just dumb, and a waste of money.

The only time I dropped my iPhone was when I got angry and threw my iPhone as hard as I could into the sidewalk…

Then it bounced a couple times and landed flat. I picked it up and well… there was nary a scratch on it. The bumper really helps.

But real talk, I think if Apple designed a drop-proof or at least drop-resistant phone, that would be a HUGE selling point.

All phones are drop-proof and drop-resistant, its not until they hit something that they might break:rolleyes:

A phone should survive a fall like that. It's ridiculous that it breaks so easily.

My Nokia C5 wouldn't survive a fall like that, it would splinter into 3 or 4 pieces (front plate, back plate, and some internal bits). The difference is that you can get a replacement glass/screen for the iPhone, best of luck trying to get replacement parts for any Nokia that runs Symbian, or instructions on how to repair it yourself. All of that stock was purged in the switch to WinMo.

I see videos of these types of thing happens with every major product release. Eg. PS3, 360

Props to the people who do it

Are you saying that a person who buys a phone can not treat the phone as they want?
