Mine is coming on the launch day, but I'm returning it once I get it as I got a super good deal from t mobile but will have to wait a few weeks for that one unfortunately...
Genuinely curious if *anybody* is receiving a 13 Pro Max on launch day. I have a feeling Apple still managed to fall victim to supply chain issues, because even though I had Apple Business Team pre-order last Friday, it looks like I'm still not getting mine until the middle of October.

Um what? Huge camera improvements huge battery improvements display is way better, don't forget the A15 in the pro models is 15$ faster on the CPU side then the A14 and a whopping 60% faster on the GPU side then the A14 that's a huge difference, externally there isn't a lot different but internally the 13 pros are leaps better then the 12 pros.
Does not take much to get these guys excited about dropping a grand on a new iPhone 13
Exterior colors and bright wallpaper.

I hear it's not much different from the 12.

Just some camera upgrades. a bigger battery and catchup on the 120 screen.

The iphone 12 pro max case almost fit. Just not quite closing around the bump.

Graphite not black enough for you?

The "Gotta run" cracks me up to no end. If he had to run, he wouldn't have written War and Peace about the lack of black. LOL

Is graphite black now?
The Apple reality distortion field is as strong as ever!!!

Putting my 13 Mini next to my 12 Mini, identical backup restored, same room lighting - the 13 Mini is definitely less yellow than the 12 Mini. And my 12 Mini is a newer model, not anywhere near a day 1 model.

It's still warm, but without having one to compare to, it feels more like the warmth of the 11 Pro, rather than the "yellow" warm of the 12 line-up.

I think my Sierra Blue is alright, it's actually darker than I was hoping. It looks closer to Graphite to me. I liked the 13 in pink though.

I went from a 12 mini to a 13 Pro. While I liked the smaller phone quite a bit, the size is wonderful, the screen just doesn't work for me for how much I use it. I could see someone who only uses it for basic things really enjoying it.

I was between Graphite and Blue. I saw the blue and didn't love it, so I went for Graphite blindly. I'm glad I did, it's a very nice shade that actually has some of what I like about the Silver color but toned down to be more discrete.

Thank goodness you don’t work for Apple!

And those of us who wants the flat/level back are unlikely to worry too much about the MagSafe knowing it is the drawback. :)
Right, all one has to do is find a vendor that doesn’t have a problem putting “Not compatible with MagSafe” on their case packaging. I’ve seen irregular cases which obviously aren’t (a friend bought one that looks like a ‘trunk’).

In the Chicago area, no but he did ring my doorbell waited for me to open the door to hand me the box.
In the UK - DPD delivered ipad and DHL delivered iphone. Both rang the doorbell but walked away before I opened. Good job I was home 🤷‍♂️

My 13 Pro is running very warm in hand just browsing this forum?
I always think the first day of the new phones they feel like they are running warmer - I chalk it up to all the apps and data and everything still updating in the background from swapping phones.

The Macro camera on the Pro is impressive. Yes it does jump around a bit just like the reviewers complained but it's better than any magnifying glass I own. Great for my old eyes and more convenient as I now always have my best magnifier on me!

The other thing of note is that the SIM tray is oriented differently from my iPhone X tray. Tighter too. I had to sand paper the edges of my SIM card!

The Sierra blue changes colour depending on lighting. It was a nice ice blue when I first saw it outside but now, in my office, it's more grey.

Significantly thicker than my iPhone X which now feels very dainty and delicate next to the Pro. Thicker devices; is that a manifestation of Sir Johnny's departure? :) I love the banded "iPhone 4" design which is his classic masterpiece.
There’s a rumor that next year’s iPhone 14 Pro will look similar to the iPhone 4 (sides, no camera bump, round buttons).

Hoping don't need to go for this kind of madness.

I think I'm usually one of the last stops on UPS' route so my phone probably won't arrive until early evening - I feel like a kid on Christmas eve. 😩 LOL.

Man, am I jelly. Really wish I would've woken up out of my Android coma 2 years ago, when I could drop this kind of cash on a moments notice. Unfortunately, I only recently woke up and am stuck with my P4XL til at least next year(now on a fixed budget). Will be saving up and salivating for the next 12 months. Looking forward to jumping on the 🍎 train. Until then, I'll just live vicariously through y'all. 😂😭

I concur. I really hate the way the new cases have a lip around the camera module. Before putting a case on the phone made the back completely flat.

If I get an iPhone 13 I'm definitely getting a third party case that fully covers the camera module. I've seen a few out there.
I can't help but think that this was a somewhat difficult decision to make, when it came to designing the new case. On one hand, you put out a thin case, but raise the lip, to keep the cameras from being damaged. On the other hand, risk people not buying the OEM case, because they made it too thick, so that it does lie flush.

So true, I never bothered with these live wallpapers. When I think "Live" I would've thought it would be animated by itself, who the heck would tap their phone to see the same freakin' animation again and again. How boring!
I see two trains of thought, when discussing how a live wallpaper should work. One, there is the aspect that everyone is talking about, where you shouldn't have to touch anything on your screen to see it animate, similar to how Android works. But the flip side of that coin is, needlessly using battery. And two, the way it currently works, where if you want to see it animate, you long hold on the screen. Otherwise, I don't see it using any more battery than a static background. Which, if I HAD to choose, I would probably choose the latter and save battery, rather than waste juice, all for the sake of seeing something move around my home screen.

Except if you go to the trouble of using a live wallpaper, presumably it is because you want it to animate, otherwise you’d use a static wallpaper.
