Since Apple finally got a 120hz screen in the pros, and the cameras seem to be much improved, I almost want one even though I’ve been super super critical of Apple lately. However, these colors just ruin it for me, I’ve been waiting for an actual black phone since the iPhone 7! The rumors said Apple was finally going to give us a black color to choose from, and instead we got a bunch of hideous pastels, gaudy gold, “silver” which looks like a dirty off white, and some color that looks like a kid colored it in with a pencil.

ironically, the non-pro iPhones actually come in black! I can’t think of any tool in the professional world, no matter what it may be that’s Barbie blue, nada. I wouldn’t care if they came in hot pink with purple polka dots as long as they also have options for those of us who don’t want a Barbie phone. The only one that looks decent is the silver, but again that isn’t black, so…

Apple needs to seriously fire its designers, what do they actually design anyways? The template they use was done by Jobs and Ive anyways, all they do is select the colors during pre-production. They need to hire someone like me, or anyone else that has some actual taste. 99.999% of people aren’t here on this forum and don’t care about pretending everything Apple does is the best thing ever. I hate to keep harping on it but if websites like this are going to push this narrative on us that these colors are “gorgeous” than there has to be some push back from the real world.

There’s simply no excuse for not having a black when even the iPhone mini comes in black!!

Gotta run, UPS just showed up with my new Snap-On pry bar set, got pastel blue to match my baby blue impact gun and socket set!!🦄

Always funny to see the sour grapes comments from people who didn’t get one but will be darned if they let anyone else be happy with it.

Enjoy your new phones, all! After the last year or two, everyone deserves a sweet new gadget!
Exactly!

Every year, prev-gen owners most offer their sage opinion: "ah not much of an update, I'll stick to my prev-gen guys!". Who the hell cares?

All this because there isn't a black iPhone 13 Pro? Holy ****.

We don’t need a new outside design every single year. It’s the inside that counts.
Indeed. Apple is very careful to not make drastic changes to the iconic design. It is interesting to see the way iPhone has evolved.

Thank goodness you don’t work for Apple!

To those of you complaining about iPhone 13's unprotected lens protrusion.....I have acquired an image of Apple's proposed iPhone 17. As you can see below, Apple, in partnership with Voightlander, has solved the dirt & dust accumulation problem. Apple will introduce a lens shield that will open and close automatically whenever the camera function is selected. Also of note, only one lens is needed.

As always, you will need big pockets to carry and purchase their exclusive, and forthcoming, "Bellows" edition Apple iPhone 17.

Colors? AH ok…

I got my iPhone 13 Pro Max in silver today morning from the Apple Store here in Munich (had it on pre-order with store pick up). My first impressions coming from a graphite iPhone 12 Pro Max are:
  • The phone feels heavier but after a while you get used to the extra weight
  • The 120Hz Promotion display is amazing. I immediately noticed the difference while scrolling, and by going in and out of apps. The phone is much smoother than before.
  • The camera bump is noticeably bigger.
  • Macro mode looks nice and works very well
  • The display is noticeable cooler than the iPhone 12 Pro Max display
  • Outdoors the display is brighter than before
I am in the early testing phase now so I cannot say anything about battery life or camera quality. The new iPhone is definitely an "S" model and the difference is not that big for most people, unless you absolutely want the 120Hz display, which is really amazing.

i honestly feel the iPhone 12 & 13 series is THE best design since the iPhone 5/5S models. We loose the fancy chamfered edges and TouchID but pretty much the sleek design is just so similar.
And we had to wait for this beautiful design for many years of rounded unimaginative devices they kept on releasing

I went to check out the new iPhones today. While I'm not looking to upgrade from my 12 Pro, I must say I was pretty impressed by the improved cameras. I really wasn't expecting to notice much of a difference. The 120Hz display on the Pro models was also very nice but something I can live without for another year or so. To those getting new iPhones, hope you enjoy them!

Haven‘t ordered mine yet, but I‘ve been going between the Pro and Pro Max. After looking at the 12s at Best Buy this afternoon, I’m seriously leaning towards Max. I loved my 6s Plus, and while a big phone can be a hassle at times, the benefits outweigh the issues, IMO.
If you’re already used to carrying a 6s Plus, the slightly larger Pro Max won’t be much different. I am just glad there is no differentiation between specs on the Pro and Pro Max other than screen size. My 13 Pro will be here next Friday and I’m pretty excited to see he different in cameras between my 11 Pro.

Genuinely curious if *anybody* is receiving a 13 Pro Max on launch day. I have a feeling Apple still managed to fall victim to supply chain issues, because even though I had Apple Business Team pre-order last Friday, it looks like I'm still not getting mine until the middle of October...
Mine is out for delivery. I ordered at 4 minutes after the site opened. I had pre-order setup so all I had to do was pay.

I'm happy that iPhone 13 owners are pleased with them. But - and this is just me - I just don't seem to care about most of the things that are wowing people this time around. I don't like how the camera lenses stick out so far. In fact, I don't care about the camera and lenses at all. I have dedicated cameras that please me much more. I don't care about the new colors - I'm going to put a case on the phone anyway. Pro-motion? I'm sure it's nice to have but I don't have a problem with the display on my iPhone 11. The two things I do care about are 5G and better battery life. And that's it. So I'm still wondering whether it's worth upgrading this time around.
I have a $15,000 Nikon Rig too, but sometimes I don't want to have to bring all that to take some pics with the family.

Sierra Blue Pro here. Gorgeous colour, feels nice in the hand (upgrade from 11 Pro), slick screen. Very happy!
