2 articles two differen box shapes? So which is the real deal?

I like the rectangular one....more compact too.

Seems the Sport gets the rectangle. Stainless gets the bigger, square jewelry-like box.

(and Edition gets the leather box with built in charging dock, but I don't think that matters to any of us here)

You right if a ton of people do that, then yes it will be felt. But other then you and a couple of other posters, cancellations just aren't occurring.

Also. I didn't order a Watch, other priorities, but when do order something and expect it at certain or place. I don't whine and cancel the product, I call the company complain and normally the company will help you out.

I had a friend have the same thing your were talking about. He called Apple, the dropped $50 off his order.
They dropped $100 of my first gen iPod touch order for the same reason.
I preordered, didn't get on launch day and Apple stores had plenty of stock.

I like your (and your friend's) approach. I also like mine and am happy with my decision. Bummed that I didn't get one delivered tomorrow. I played the 1am MTN lottery to get one of the first and am disappointed not to get it. Stayed up to get in on the release day fun and lost out on that experience. I won't be up for future launches to try to get it first day. That was my first time doing that for any product and it will be my last.

Sounds like he was just looking for a reason to back out. If I wanted something I'd be willing to wait for it. A couple of extra weeks isn't a big deal and who cares if someone got theirs before me? A bit silly if you ask me. I don't buy on principles, I buy on want and need.

I didn't NEED it. I wanted it. And then when the taste in my mouth got sour, I realized the fact that I didn't NEED it. So I kept my money.

The real poor move would have been to get it and then return it - and not allowing those in line behind me to get it faster.

If many of us cancel and don't buy, it will be felt. If you feel it was a poor choice to cancel, then I would advise you not to cancel your own order.

Right... Go to the media and call for a boycott, see if you get traction, That's the only way wide spread cancellation will occur. I'm going to call it now : you won' t get interest and it is not an issue.

I agree with you. It very likely won't happen. If others feel the same way and don't cancel, then that is their problem, not mine.

I just voted with my $. If others do it to, a message will be sent. If they don't, then my vote will be unheard with all of the other $ that Apple receives.

I expect that the slow transfer speeds have more to do with the bluetooth channel between the phone and watch. Theoretical maximum transfer speed for Bluetooth 4 (discounting wifi) is 25 Mb/s. 1 GB at 25 Mb/s is a 5:20 transfer, assuming optimal conditions (which you'll never get).

Bottom line: initial transfers are always going to be slower than we might like. Temper your expectations with a dose of reality and you'll be happier knowing your collection of however much music you want to carry with you is zipping over the air as fast as currently possible.

It uses WIFI I believe for bulk transfers (the watch can use both). Did people put in on the charger when syncing. Seems like the watch doesn't sync as fast (maybe to save power) when it is not on the charger (that is why they recommend you do so in the videos).

Over 1 million were sold on the first day. You're canceling didn't really help anyone in terms of helping the already long line of millions of people. That was your choice however. Others will enjoy their watch. Understand something, other than the people who bought this for someone's wedding or special occasion, the rest of the people here didn't NEED it either. Most people don't need any of what Apple sells. It's generally a want. Patience is what gets people things.

What watch did you order? 42mm SS BSB or some such?

They cannot send you a watch on launch day that's not ready to ship and with the range we ALL got, it's not like they gave you a guarantee, then broke their word.

If you'd ordered a 38mm Sport with a white band and everyone but you got theirs, your logic here would make sense.

What did you want them to do? NOT ship watches that were already built to customers who wanted to buy them just because the model you wanted wasn't ready to ship on launch day?

I wouldn't cancel my order because it was going to be later then I expected. But I understand where your coming from.

What confuses me is the 24th hasn't come and gone anywhere in the world I don't think. I mean if you felt you should get it on launch day or else you would cancel it fine. But you didn't even wait till launch day was over. I love puzzles so I'm trying to figure out what I'm missing.

Even if 25,000 people cancelled, Apple wouldn't feel it. As I said moments ago, they sold over 1 million the first day. It's been over 10 days since the preorder started. The most valuable company worldwide won't even feel 25,000 cancellations. Seems like you want them to go down for some reason.

Entitlement?

Not at all. I love my iPhone and my MBP. Just wanted in on a launch day experience, I didn't get it, so I chose to take my ball and go home - harming no one in the process.

If that was the reason wouldn't that be a reason to cancel an order if it's not received on launch day? Or do you think he was expecting it earlier?

CC wasn't charged and no tracking info was posted by close of business. I wasn't getting it tomorrow.

I think he expected to get it on launch day, despite being given a date range.

I hoped I'd get mine on launch day, but since that was not promised to me, I stayed cautiously optimistic.

Both mine are supposed to deliver tomorrow, but if I'd ordered a variety that wasn't available yet, I'd be waiting along with everyone else, so (while I wouldn't like it) I would just wait. Could not expect them to send me what they don't have and didn't promise me.

One departure that's interesting is how unintuitive this watch is. Most women and loads of men hate reading an instruction manual.

Conversely I find manuals can be very interesting, but I'm a voracious reader. After reading the watch manual my prediction is this may be a very underutilized product. Lots of people will never know the full capabilities and use but a fraction of this products capability.

Yet that's just fine all Apple wants is their money... :)

I certainly don't think so. It was a personal choice.

Alrighty.

I love instruction manuals. This should be fun!

the number of posts for a launch day product thread are shockingly low. I don't think this thing is nearly as popular as they're going to need it to be. I'm not trying to poop on the party, just observing something interesting.

have you checked the Apple Watch forum?

I'm disappointed that I'm not getting it tomorrow but I knew this was possible going in. Hoping for early next week now but considering what I've been hearing, I wouldn't be surprised if I don't get a shipping email until the 7th.

Is Leather Loop any comfortable?

Yes, I tried on every band at an Apple Store and the leather loop was very comfortable and one of my favorites. It also feels really cool when the magnets come together because you feel it click multiple times in succession as the magnets attach themselves. I preordered the SS w/ black sports band but I plan to get the midnight blue leather loop as my second, more formal band.

Mine was scheduled for delivery Friday morning. I called UPS and had them hold it so I'll just go pick it up in the AM. aluminum 42mm sport. 2 of them

Has anyone in the U.S. Or in California gotten any movement in their watches mine is still processing I got the 38 stainless steel link braclete it looks like they authorized the AppleCare plus which I hope is a good thing but Still no movement with the watch ugh :/

My confirmation was a few minutes behind yours. And in getting mine Friday. Confirmed. Opted for 2 silver aluminum sport apple watches which there were a lot of.

So you are saying, than even though you order before me...I should have to wait until you get yours even though we ordered totally different watches.

Wow. Talk about an entitlement attitude...

You're welcome, everyone that was behind me on the order queue. Hope you get yours faster!

Ordered Watch 4/10 1:03MTN. Had 4/24 confirmation. No ship notification-I cancelled order tonight. First time/Last time I stay up. Totally wrong that others with later confirmations are getting their watches ahead of time.

I have went from absolutely not wanting one at all to now wanting one very badly for no perceptible reason. Damn you impulsive brain.

Siri and iMessage alone trump anything android wear has.

Doesn't matter is AndWr has a crappy camera or you have to purchase a seperate data plan...they don't have what many people seem to be important for THEIR use case. Stop being so self centered and thinking you know what's best for other people.

And please, by all means, enjoy your Android Wear...

Dude, I am not sure you get out much. Please be more specific on what do you mean in terms of "more integrated"?

It does less than many Android Wear phones (some of these have usable cameras or can make calls through the watch itself) and it has worse battery life than many of the latest generation Android Wear stuff.

I don't think any of the Android Wear watches are all that useful either, but am bewildered by why people think this is any better.

I think this is the first apple product of the last 8 or so years, i am not absolutely drueling over.

Its cool, and i do want to try one, but im not sold on it. Guess i just dont see Apple as being a watch company, yet.
