First Impressions of IOS 7

Why all of the pastel colors? Kind of irritating to look at. iMessage and mail looks pretty gross too.
 
The only thing I don't like is in mail you can't swipe to delete.
 
Noticed a bug is still present when closing apps using multitasking. When you swipe an app away, sometimes the icon still remains, and you have to swipe again for the icon to go away.

Overall, I like the design. Not as nice as the old OS IMO but I'm open to change and like the fact that everything seems way more snappy / quick.

My only gripe is the way folders change with the background. Many times I use dark backgrounds and they appear grey. Yuck.
 
Absolutely hate it on my iPad - folders implentation terrible, calendar is a joke and the whole thing looks a mess.

Also, whoever allowed the newsstand icon to be included in the final release should be sacked - it has to be one of the worst icons I've ever seen!

Ummm, how did the Power Mac G3 bondi blue, original iBooks and iMacs effect Apple? the iPhone 5C should give you an idea what's going on here (and much needed, imo).
 
You've got to admit it takes some real balls to put out some crazy **** like this.

I think its the best thing they have done in awhile, love it. Funny to see all the people who were crying for a change to iOS, now its changed and they cry they want the old iOS back :rolleyes: These people should just go buy a flip phone.

I have to agree with most of what you said. My first impression was...meh.

I waited to judge and didn't download any of the beta versions. Instead I waited for the official release hoping that I would love it at first glance.

The use of colors is in my opinion rather poor. Too much white and too many prime colors for links and buttons. I know I'll get hate for this but in comparison Windows Phone 8, Blackberry and even Android feel a lot more polished and mature. I think mature is the most accurate word for how I feel.

I know I have just a few more hours to revert back to 6 and I'm seriously considering it.

Also while it has a new coat of paint and the new action center, the rest is just the same old thing. If you're going to redesign the OS then go all in and redesign functionality. This seems more like redesign for the sake of redesign and nothing more.

I'm a huge Apple fan but to me this is a swing and a miss. It remains to be seen how the general public accepts it and it may be a hit. But for me it's a tough sell. Plus on top of everything else it's giving me a headache while using it. I can actually feel the strain on my eyes and the headache getting worse, or at least coming on.
 
Navigation buttons on the top in Safari? What??? This sucks. Is this true with iPhone's too?

Would love to increase the text of my bookmarks folders on the toolbar but nothing in Settings seems to work.
 
Parallax feature is kind of trippy. Unsure whether or not I will delete.

The OS looks too cutesy now. I might as well get pastel skins for my iPhone now. They should have given us the option to use the old icons with these new features.

Still no one tap open apps killing. Why the eff are they so against adding that feature?

I agree. I would rather have the option to have a classic display then have the teen display forced into my eye-hole.
