First Impressions of IOS 7

I am already tired of the animated icons flying in upon login. Let's get them to stay still already. Fun the first time they flew onto the screen, now boring.
Calendar app still sucks. It is beyond me why Apple can't get this and Reminders right. From the 3rd party developers out there doing it, it isn't that hard.
Need some different wallpapers to choose from. Hate all the ones that came with IOS7. Need minimalist B&W wallpapers.
Bookshelf is, well, still bookshelf. They always forget to upgrade this little guy.
On the flip side, Maps looks new and improved. I need to give this one some testing but so far so good.
iTunes Radio is a hit. Like that little feature.

There's something about it I just don't like. Maybe it's the clashing bright colors and the whiteness. idk, but I'm not really a fan of the look (except for the lock screen and weather app). I like the new features though.
It's not terrible, I guess... but I don't like the UI that much. Not a fan of the looks or the performance. The features are fine, however.
I don't mind it and probably iOS6 will look very stale to me after a few weeks of this.
There does seem to be some feel of inconsistency that bothers me. The keyboard - it's white in the notes/mail/safari/etc. apps, but when I open the spotlight search, it's black. It doesn't make any sense at all.
I'm glad that some iPhone apps don't look messed up anymore on the ipad Mini.
Airdrop - iOS only? WTF? Come on Apple get your stuff together, if there's one company that is trying to sell an "eco system" then it's Apple, so please make it one. Thanks a lot.

First impressions is that I like the same battery life. I like the ability to swipe up for settings. I don't like the included wallpapers. I don't like when you are listening to your music and a text message comes in and the volume decreases and doesn't increase until you actually close out the text app. I also hate the grey folders if you don't use their stock wallpaper. Use a black background and the folders are ugly. And please eliminate the semi translucent bar at bottom. Ruins just about every wallpaper. What the heck were they thinking? Butt ugly. I was ready to jump all over the 5s and order tomorrow night. Now, I'm really not sure.

iOS 7 so far works very well but... as a web designer, I think the new interface looks like hammered dog sh!!T!
I mean really, what the hell is Apple thinking with white and grey EVERYWHERE? There is no defining variation of anything anywhere throughout the entire operating system!
If was not for the fact that this is the way that it is and it's going to be crammed down my throat at one point sooner or later, I would not have updated it!
I know it's each to there own but how in the hell can anyone like this design it just sucks?
I though the Apple moto was "It's All in The Details" well, isn't that what skew-morphism is about? Think about it!

First impression: Has it's good points, but seems rushed and inconsistent. Gimmickry taking precedence over rock-solid usability. Feels like a committee designed it.

its now all combined and part of a single omnibar where you can search or enter a URL.

Unlock sound has disappeared (possibly removed on purpose) since one of the latter betas.

The Today section of the Notification Center is there to present some other type of information. It's nice to see the date there as you can bring down the notification center pretty much anywhere and see it (and don't have to find a page where the calendar app is). Seeing alarms can be useful too so you don't forget what time they are set for and can confirm them quickly as well. Some information like weather definitely presents itself better trough graphics rather than text but somehow that's how Apple decided to go about it so far.
It's ok. There are many thing I like. Still, it feels like a beta.
What I do HATE right now is the stupid Calendar app. Why in the world did they change it from the old Calendar?!?! I update my families iPhones and they all hate the new Calendar app. So ugly, messy, and hardly any options to change view type.
Another one is newsstand app. What an ugly, unfinished app.
IMO they should've of delayed it a bit more. It's not ready for prime time. Oh well. Hope they release 7.1 soon with major fixes.

Really like the OS update so far on my IP4 yes it's a little laggy in places but this is a huge step forwards and can only get better!
It's better, just too much freakin white. I don't know if I'll adjust to it. I probably will, as these things are field tested massively. Just doesn't seem that way now.

I agree - all the bright white is going to fatigue the eyes and battery life as well.
And not just a few thing but like just so much white.
Is there any way to change the theme for Notes? That one is the worst.
You're right...that is a crazy solution. The sad part is the inverted colors look much better for email and text. It pretty much ruins all the other color schemes and makes pictures look you're looking at film in a dark room.
They really need an option for a darker 'theme.' The lockscreen looks perfect - a lot of the other screens are either to whitewashed or neon.
