iOS 8 better be a massive improvement over iOS 7. iOS 7 just barely became stable and still seems to me unfinished. How about iOS 7.5 or something??

Do we think iOS 8 will be a public beta like how OSX is now? Can't help thinking it would help Apple find problems far faster.

No way. Too many people use iOS, and too many that aren't tech savy. It would be a nightmare for Apple engineers.

Hmm... iOS 8. Water. Famour Californian places - Mavericks. Bay Area? OS X 10.10 Bay?

Can't wait. It's amazing how great Apple is at building the excitement amongst their faithful.

I think the ocean means:
iOS is learning more and having more features from OS X

Mavericks hint was water in last years banner. So I think the relation is there. Water in the WWDC 2013 banner and water in the WWDC 2014 iOS8 banner. Both being water is no co-incidence.

I like the look of the watery poster. I wonder if it will be a new default wallpaper on the next iOS.

well id say 70% wouldnt even know how to get to the beta download let alone know theres a iOS8 coming soon unless it pops up on their device and the others wouldnt know how to install it so it would already filter out those noobs and i am sure those who actually get to install a beta know what to expect of a beta.

I think those who would download a public beta are the same who attempt to get at the beta through "illegal" means anyhow.....

Don't think it would make the whining any noisier. Might as well give those of us who aren't devs but like to try out the betas (with realistic expectations) a shot at helping out.

I enjoyed the 7.0 beta last year - am going to attempt to get at the 8.0 beta this year, with the full understanding of what I'm putting on my phone.....honestly I didn't really have a ton of issues with the 7.0 beta.

From what I've heard here - my 7.0 beta was more stable than some claim 7.1.1 to be....haha
