It's the start of the weekend and there are still no other people here who have decided to join me in line. However, I am no longer alone. 5 people are now camping in line in Santa Monica at another Apple store. If you plan to camp out, it might be a good idea to consider getting to your local store soon.

That's so funny! I was just in Santa Monica yesterday and spoke to some of them. I thought of you and told my father and husband about your campout. They have it a lot easier though. The 3rd St promenade is awesome, and the weather was gorgeous. Now I wish I had taken a photo to post. :D

Okay guys,

So I can see it looks like most the trolls are finally leaving this form alone.

Today was more easy to enjoy and relax without having the full press all over. I did however have a few individuals come by for pictures.

I had to take a small break this evening to go for dinner and spend a hour with my family. One my sisters just had a baby a couple days ago, and since tomorrow is Father's Day, I just needed to get away for a little bit and spend time with them.

Also, one of my organizations that I volunteer with for the past 5 years was having a special event fundraiser tonight that was actually right across the street for our restaurant so I stopped by to see them. They invited me on stage to let me say hello to everyone and talk a bit. It's a monthly bingo event and it sells out every time. Over 400 people were there.

I'm now back on site and getting ready to call it a night from online. The Apple Store closes in 5 minutes at 9:00pm CT. They will not reopen tomorrow until 10:00am so you won't see much from me on here until then.

They also have hired in my own personal security which will be with me during the night for the next few days until launch day. There are several bars down the street from the store so I don't normally get to sleep at night until 2:00am at the earliest. I have people come by during the night who harass me sometimes. In fact the first night I camped out, I had someone throwing large stones at my tent when I was trying to sleep. Also I last night when I had visitors, someone threw a bottle of water at one of them and hit him in the head hard and drove off quickly. People just don't have any respect for others now day. Jezz.

The new website me and another user have been working on is now live and running. I'll be posting more updates with pictures on it as the days progress to launch. The link is: www.iPhoneFirstInLine.com

Enjoy, and I'll talk to everyone tomorrow! Goodnight!
Justin

It's good to hear you're able to still see your family and escape the corner for a while. Man, speaking in front of 400 people and also being very well put together on national news. You're better than I my friend. In school I was nervous to speak in front of one classroom.

Also, it's great to hear you'll have some people looking out for you at night. When you first wrote about bars being nearby the first that came to mind was the crazy drunk people. Best to keep them away. :)

Keep it up Justin. You sure have a lot of determination. I know this is all for fun and all but even so it takes a real commitment and that's saying something.

Pay no attention to the trolls. Sadly, some people just can't understand certain things.

Day 4

Good day everyone!

It's Sunday June 20, Day 4 for me camping for the new iPhone 4.

Since yesterday evenings post I finally had the opportunity to use my phone and look at some websites that have wrote articles about me. The comments made by the majority on all of those articles are very heartbreaking and I'v been a extreme disappointed and hurt.

It's amazing how so many people in today's world jump to their own conclusions and speak before they think without knowing the person and/or having all their facts straight. Apparently there are more people out there to hurt to you then I thought.

The top few things I have noticed are the following:

1. Most do not have the respect for those who are disabled regardless of their condition.

In my case. I'm disabled because of my seizure disorder which prevents me from driving and scoring most jobs. This makes life EXTREMELY difficult for me or anyone with the same condition.

Some have asked about how bad my condition is so I would go ahead and tell everyone how bad it is for me sometimes so more will understand and have a little more compassion.

The seizures I have had since young age are non-epileptic and are unknown why I have them. My arms, legs or other part of my body twitch everyday and I have to remain alert as much as possible in case a major one happens. If its major, they are full body and look like grand mal (Tonic Clonic) seizures. They are always longer then 10 minutes and very severe. Some I have had in the past have been 2 hours long. What's more, there isn't really anything you can do, even if I end up in the ER.

In addition to the seziures. I also have 4 other learning disabilities including ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, and Dysgraphia.

2. Some say I should "Get a Life!".

I did write a response to this earlier, but I'm going to say it again.

What I am doing right now is enjoying and embracing life! What life is it you want me to have?

Let me guess? You want my life to be just like everyone else who goes to work (nothing wrong with a job) and/or attend school and then go off to live the "American Dream"?

I understand this might what everyone does everyday, but this crazy world has seemed to forgotten what life is really about! Life is about enjoying and living it to the fullest without having someone else running it for you! Whats so great about life if you spend it doing what others want you to do and not doing what makes you happy for your own enjoyment? Is that what you really want when you only get one chance of living it and not knowing when it will end? I didn't think so!

3. Work and Money

Okay so most of the first media reports you have heard me say I don't work. This is not entirely true, but I don't have a job I do everyday.

I do have my own business I do from home every now and then, but its struggling at the point.

Some have asked what my business is. I prefer not to reveal this right now since in I'm process of restructuring and renewing the business at the point.

There are also others who have just ASSUMED since I am disabled that I am not disability SSI benefits. I have not once revealed or said anything about that I do. Not everyone with disabilities qualified or receive benefits!

I have said many times that I am paying out of my own earned money that will be coming out of savings!

Besides all of this, it's really actually not anyone's business when it comes to these things! If you asked someone random theses question on the street. They will come back and slap you in the face and tell you it's none of a your damn business and its rude to ask in the first place!

Sorry I haven;t gone into details and been off topic about the launch in this posting, but I figured these issues are more important to be addressed.

If you want to keep track of the camping adventure of mine and hear about the latest, you can check out this site me and another user on here have been working on. The website just went live last night! www.iPhoneFirstInLine.com

Hope everyone has a Sunday Funday and Happy Father's Day!

This is the grammar police :)

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/y'all

Yep, its a word.

What you have there is a definition of it being a varient. But it doesnt really matter. I except it as a word that ive heard for many, many years. Its just lame that somebody tried to correct another for the spelling when there are several that also spell it ya'll.
There are different ways and varients to spell it and in england they say Y'oll while using the same phrase to us that is y'all.

In other words, the grammer police are annoying.

anyone else join the line yet?

Oddly, it's still just me in line right now! However today is Father's Day and the weekend so I assume thats what people have been waiting for before beginning camp out.

Some will most likely start to ask for vacation time from work and the line should start to grow starting pretty soon as the launch date approaches!

Thanks for the update!

Don't worry about the negative stuff posted online.

When you have time, give us an update on the weather, who you are meeting and talking to, where you are getting lunch, interviews you're doing, if more campers have joined you, etc, etc, etc.

We all want to hear about your experience out there. You have a lot of supporters on this site.

Have fun out there!

Justin, you are more thick-skinned than I would be in this situation. You don't have to explain or justify anything. Some people will never understand what it's like to be interested in something enough to camp out for it. Just ignore them.

Despite the few detractors who have interrupted this thread, you have a lot of supporters here. Don't lose sight of that. Thanks for participating here, and please keep up with the updates!

Steve

AMEN. Justin you don't have to lower your self to these low lives. Your doing what you love. Enough said. You don't have to give a reason for anything your doing, it's no ones business, certainly not hypocrites.

Stay safe and have fun Justin the iPhone 4 will soon be yours!

Sorry to hear about your condition. I have a Son who has a disability and didnt realise you had one. I still think it is bizarre to wait in line to get a phone but under the circumstances, if it makes your life brighter, then great. Hope you have a good time and meet some good people :)

Now for "y'all" ;) that dont have a disability......, i dont get it but to each their own. I love the iPhone as much as the next guy but im not going to get one right away.

I'd be in the next tent along if it was my local Applestore and I had the week to spare.

What you need is someone to park up their motorhome next to your spot so you can freshen up..

I queued up on launch day for my 3G and met some great people.

Well said! Enjoying life and living it to the fullest is something everyone wants but not all people do. Unfortunately I'm not living my life to the fullest but that problem will be getting some attention. There are things I want to do and I've been lazy about seeing them through.

Keep that positive attitude! :)
