Apparently you didn't read. It keeps him from driving. And public transit in Dallas sucks. You're nowhere w/o a car in Dallas.

Oh, and once again an assumption. For all you know he lives off of a trust fund. Who cares, it's none of your business. If you are against SSI, tell your congressman and vote against it.

Stop judging until you are standing in the mans shoes.

Well, maybe it's just me, but I would rather move to where the jobs are rather than do nothing because jobs aren't where I am... Just sayin dude, he sounds a bit lazy to me. Not being able to drive is only a problem because of where he lives. And yes, I know finding another house isn't easy, but it aint impossible. I will admit though, I'm a bit spoiled in terms of getting around. Here in NYC, getting around is cake. People only have cars here to get places where public transit doesn't go, and because it's usually faster... Now, if you notice, I'm not raging like you are, I'm just simply saying where I stand, do me the same courtesy please. They should call this forum "RageRumors".

Just saw this now. Good on you mate - do what you want to do with your life and enjoy it. I wish I could camp outside a store for a week but am too scared and probably couldnt afford it! Enjoy the experience and the attention. Ignore the haters - it's your life - you can do what you want (as long as its legal :D).

Keep everyone posted and enjoy the phone!

I really don't get some of the haters on this board. Why the F*** do you care so much about what Justin's doing? Are we bashing YOU on how you're living your life? Are we bashing YOU on how you're making money? Maybe I don't like how you're living YOUR life, you don't hear me b#tch about it, do ya?

That's the problem these days, there's no RESPECT for others no more. Most people think they are the sh#t and if you don't live your life by their standards, you suck.

Sure, you don't have to agree with everything and everybody. But you CAN show some respect!

Justin, you don't have to defend yourself on how you're living your life or on how you're making money. First of all, it's none of their damn business (I don't see scanned paychecks on this board to proof they work themselfs!). Second: it's you're life, you just love what you're doing right now and I for one, respect that! Have a good one today bud!

TWITTER and Justin

Anyone know Justin's twitter ID please?

I asked him today if he had twitter.. He had a CLASSIC response.. "I stay away from social networking sites, I prefer to get out and actually socialize with people!" he did not mean this in a sarcastic way and he was not being funny; he was being honest.

Come on how can you talk sh-t about this guy? You really have to meet him b4 you start making assumptions about him.. If you want to meet a true APPLE lover this is your guy.. He does not care about the press, he does not care that people throw sh-t at his tent all night, he does not care who you are.

But if you go up to him and talk about the phone he will talk for hours! I was a random stranger (I literally only drove up to Apple to talk to him) I walked up and he was talking to some lady about the phone. I said Hi (Had 2 people with me) and he just smiled and said "Hi!"

I told him I read his post on this site and the 1st thing I said was "I am sorry so many people are giving you a hard time" he looked at me and and acted as if he did not give any of the bad comments a second thought!

Justin is a very unique person if only we could all have his attitude and outlook in life! I would be honored to spend a couple nights camping out next to him! Anyone who lives in the DFW area should stop by and say hi to him. There are not many people like him left in this world!

I totally agree man, the illness he says he has shouldn't be bad enough to stop him from working entirely, I mean, a Mickey D's cashier or SOMETHING dude.... But as far as special treatment goes, just having this post here that gets a post every few seconds during the day, and having it stickied, and having the press stop by for a few visits, being able to use the apple store's electricity, and being able to use the staff bathroom, is already special treatment up the wazoo lol so I think it's a bit late for him to not get any special treatment. But, now that that's all said, if this is what he choses to do with his life, then let him do it, my biggest problem is he's probably living off of taxpayers to get the job done.

He stated in an earlier post that he does not collect disability checks from the government, and that he runs his own business from home. Furthermore he is using savings to purchase his phone. Beleive me there are waaaay worse things that our tax dollars are being used for.... If that's what you're really worried about

That's awesome if I was anywhere near Dallas I would definitely go down and visit him. It's hard finding people around me that are as big into gadgets as I am. My friends call me a nerd, geek, freak and every other word in the dictionary because I am obsessed with things such as the iPhone lol. :D Screw em I say.

We could talk about iPhones and seizures. I had a seizure about a year ago when I passed out and hit my head really hard. It isn't a chronic condition and I've never had one since, but it's still something we could talk about.

Free iPhone for Justin!!

WOOOOT!!!!! :D :apple:

pot calling the kettle...

What on earth are you talking about?

Anyway, it sure looks like a bunch of people have taken it on as their 'cause' to support this dork who's sitting on the sidewalk for a week... so I better not say anything more. (after this, of course).

This is just so 'Forrest Gump', it's hilarious.

You need to learn how to read.

Good morning to you Justin (when you read this!)!

It's finally i4 week (iPhone 4)! We're heading into the stretch and your countdown is much closer. I hope you've met some really great folks over the weekend. I see a few of them have posted here.

Remember, no matter what, enjoy this time and the days to come (they'll fly by) because they will go fast and you'll have this memory for at least a year. It looks like some really nice and fun people have been joining you on occasion. Stay hydrated and cool.

Keep on keepin' on man!

I started a pole to see how many people thing that Justin deserves to receive a free iPhone 4.

Cheers.

tbh I don't think that was such a good idea, seems MacRumours is full of a lot of rude, spiteful, unfriendly people, something like that is just going to attract them

Ok, I am gonna comment again, just to clarify.

I don't 'hate' Justin. What I do think is that he's a silly kid who's sitting on the sidewalk for a week for a consumer product. The fact that his completely non important act has genterated such a following of supporters is quite funny to me.
Exactly like that sequence in Forrest Gump, when Forrest starts walking cross country for no particular reason, and followers spring up ascribing all sorts of value and meaning to his endevour.

But maybe that's what this is all about, you all think this is kind of sweet, and silly, and funny to support this guy. Maybe you know it's silly, but that's part of the fun of it. Well, good for you then. Enjoy your little social drama piece. Like someone said before, this whole thing reads like a performance art piece, with everyone playing a part.

I just hope y'all don't think this is anything more than that, :)

LOL OMG this guy is such a nerd! www.1053thefan.com went and woke him up this morning at 7:00 AM. There is actually another lady behind him now. They should be posting a podcast of the bit soon. Check it out. It's so funny!

Good morning, Justin! You're in the home stretch with just three more nights to go. Enjoy your day, stay safe, and keep smiling!!

Just finished reading through the thread..

Have fun Justin, don't worry about all the negative comments.. misery loves company and there are a lot of miserable people in this world!

Wish I could camp out with you, haven't done that since college when I camped out for FB tickets. And lastly.. if I was in the position to offer you a job, it's obvious you're devoted to Apple products.. seems like someone with the ability SHOULD be listening..

You do no know all the circumstances or details of his life, so just give up. I can tell you that he doesn't live alone (probably for good reason) and that moving is most likely not an option.
