First iPhone 4 Camper spotted

Hahaha, I had just woke him up. He had a hard night, very little sleep and some other difficulties.

Please don't tell me he had more trouble with drunks? Hope he's ok?

Have you asked him his thoughts on people getting their iPhone 4 already?

He was probably pissed you woke him up, all he wanted to do was sleep haha.

Is that you smiling in the picture with him?

Yeah, I'm the one leaning down.

No, not more drunks. I'll let him describe his night if he likes, but he does seem to be okay. We took him and Brandy to Chuy's for lunch to he got a good meal again today (sometimes he just eats his snacks.)

At the time I was there, I didn't realize people had received their phones already. Based on an earlier post he seems to be of the opinion that it as a FedEx mistake.

I read that on his site, saying something that FeDeX have not kept their agreement with Apple in holding the shipments.

I got a email from Apple last night saying my iPhone would arrive early. I think they want them to arrive early so it doesn't overload their server when everyone is trying to activate them.

Your older then I expected you to be. Not in a bad way, but I imagine everyone here being early 20s. You look like a doctor too.

3 total People in line a 3am

If anyone wants an update or cares: We drove by Knox Apple in Dallas about 3am and there are offically 3 people in line. Looks like another guy is camping out. He had a tent set up too and was sitting in a chair outside the tent reading..

Not enough people for us to start camping out tonight. Will keep tabs on the line tomorrow. SO HAPPY we did not start camping out Sunday.. I would have been pissed knowing only 3 people in line.. lol

I'm thinking that the pre-order debacle is really all the bad press they needed in this go around and gave the shipping companies the go-ahead to get them out there and avoid another server meltdown.

LOL...not a doctor. I have a pic in my profile as well. But yeah, in my late 30's. I can tell you for a fact that several people in this forum/thread are in their 30's and older.

Hahaha!! ^^^^

Justin doesn't look too happy in those latest pics on his site.

I support Justin, you have to do what you love or your life will be miserable.

Maybe it's because many 6/15 online pre-orders have already received their iPhones 2 days in advance. Mine is still on its way from Alaska to the mainland so I'm getting mine on the 24th, before 10:30 a.m.

Nope, it's because I just woke him right before we took the pic.

Whatever the reason, its official and of Apple. It's not fedex that did this, they are following orders. Apple even said in emails regardless of what FedEx statuses show you will receive it on the 23rd.

Sorry Justin but looks like you won't be one of the first in Texas to get one. Most likely one of the last.

The only way he would be one of the last is if he walked out of the line. That's just an assinine comment to make.

I think I'll test my iPhone 4g by going to the tent and taking pics & HD video of of those waiting in line. :D

Any one get the knox store to confirm they even have iPhons for walk ins?

I have talked to them on four separate occasions and they tell me they haven't even counted yet which is dumb because then they can't even confirm they have enough for those who pre-ordered. I want to know so I can go get in line. Anyone actually talk to the GM for the store?

They don't need to count. The only need subtract. We all know when the phones were shipped the qty would be in several locations. In some sort of a stock database, a shipping manifest, etc..

I also know for a fact that they know how many reservations they have.

So that answer is just a way to blow you off.

Well it seems that the other stores (One I talked to the GM of) are counting their shipments to insure the number they received versus the number of reserves.

Sure they know how many reservations they have what would be the point of counting otherwise?

I don't think this store would be any different.

Considering all the pre-orders and reservations, it isn't asinine one bit. In fact, it's probably a rather educated guess.

Ok, yes, when you receive any shipment you are going to count. A pallet full of iPhones most likely packed in large boxes, not too hard to count.

So yeah, they've "counted" them.

The point I'm making is that the statement of "we haven't counted them yet" is ludicrous.

1) They had to count them upon receiving to verify what they received matches what was shipped from the warehouse.
2) The inventory system would reflect the qty on hand
3) The reservation system would reflect how many are reserved (the GM has already revealed a reservation number revealing that he does in fact know this information)

Qty on Hand
-Qty on reserve
=Qty available for walk-ins
