It's cool. We in the USA may not get the iPhone 4S as early as the Germans, but at least I can be proud of the fact that I live in the greatest country in the world!

You're all quite right. I just called them and carphone warehouse will do it over the phone. I'm very pleased to be completely wrong. No idea why O2 won't let people pre order though.

(I ordered over the phone with att, and all I got was the acceptance e-mail, and a "pending" hanging on my online banking debit card).

For those who have tracking info already: did you order white or black? All three of my preorders are white and all still say preparing for shipment (with no luck finding tracking info by reference on UPS or FedEx). Just curious if there is a corelation.
I'd be interested to know if switching Siri's language is as simple as switching the language in the Settings?
we should add that only Telekom seems to have sent out iPhone 4S by mistake in Germany. Nothing from Vodafone, 02 or directly from Apple yet

Ordered two 64 GB black ATT units at 6 am CST on the 7th...from the ATT site. Got confirmation email immediately...however....
....the order status (ATT Business Direct-Premiere) has shown pre-order status since Saturday the 8th.

Wow, that german carrier must be in trouble. The phone won't even work till iTunes 10.5 is released, which happens tomorrow! Well, the phone will work but won't allow you to sync anything.
And iCloud isn't even available to the public, and neither is iOS5....
