I'll wait for the 6s+ in 12 months, more RAM, faster CPU, Sapphire glass, better camera...
Me too. Apple saved many obvious spec updates for the next year's 6S models, and I don't mind waiting one more year.

How can they get an estimate on battery life in such short time? How did they get it so fast?
I suspect they got the phones a week early.
Every reviewer's usage is different, so what it comes down to screen-on time. And the fact is the 5S has a better screen-on time than the 6.
That's not saying much since the 5S is already terrible compared to other flagship devices.
Why don't you wait for the 7 then? Just a 24 month wait for even more RAM, an even faster CPU, hardened Sapphire glass, better camera... and iOS 10 will be quite snappy on it.
Ahhh going to be so difficult to choose between the Plus and the Note 4. I'm afraid the iPhone will end up being just that bit too tall for my pockets though. And with a screen this size, no dual window multitasking is quite a loss.
Not too happy about the 1 GB of RAM in the phones as reported by MacWorld. They'll be struggling to keep up when Apple eventually releases split-screen multitasking.
because 7 will be just redesign and minor bump in specs.. S is where innovation happens, deal with it
That's what I thought too. And I feel the same as David from The Verge when he says "This doesn't feel like a revolutionary device, it feels like Apple playing catch up and give people what they want".
Seriously, what IS the point of spli screen multitasking and Android fanboys fascination with it!? I don't know a huge number of friends without iPhones, but those that have this feature never use it nor see it as anything more than a pointless gimmick.

Then why are you here? This isn't let's talk about Android forums. I had a Note II for 18 months and couldn't get rid of it fast enough. The iPhone 5 with a 4" screen was a much more productive phone than the Note II ever was. I can't begin to imagine how much the productivity of the 6+ will be running circles around any Note device.

The revolution is over. It's just a phone now, there's nothing left to impress. That's what I thought too. And I feel the same as David from The Verge when he says "This doesn't feel like a revolutionary device, it feels like Apple playing catch up and give people what they want".

Well, when was the last revolutionary smartphone released? I think it was in 2007.Ever since then, we have just seen variations and evolutionary improvements.
For me, personally, the phase detection AF on the iPhone camera is a major revolution (if Apple implemented it well, which remains to be seen). I own a Canon EOS 70D which incorporates just that functionality, and it was considered quite a big deal. Read or watch any review of the 70D, and the AF will always be the major topic in the review, while it's just an afterthought in iPhone 6 reviews. Of course, this is something that the majority of users won't care about, so if I had to write a review, I probably wouldn't use the title "New iPhone with revolutionary camera upgrade!"I think it's something that most people will only notice when they go back to a camera that does not have this technology. And yes, in half a year, every Samsung phone will have phase detection AF.
Other than that, yep, it's a bigger thinner iPhone with a better display and a new payment method that is not rolled out yet. So it's just about as exciting as every other phone release since Steve Jobs held up the first iPhone in 2007. Exciting enough for me, but obviously not for everyone.
Benchmarks show better results 6 vs 6+, maybe it does have 2gb ram?
Can anyone tell me what the 'predicted' resale value on an iPhone 6 would be exactly one year from now if I were to purchase (order) one this week? Let's say I bought it full price this month (no contract), would I get at least 50-60% back when I resell it one year from now?

(damn it, when will I be able to call him Sir Stephen Fry)

Pretty much sums it up, unfortunately.![]()
Note 3 owner and I'm not impressed. If the iPhone 6 plus caught up to the Note 3 then Note 4 has no problem winning phablet of the year.
