Yes, it does. You can hardly notice the camera lent. This Lumia on the other hand have a huge black circle where the lent is, making it look like point to shoot camera. Am not saying it's good or bad, it's not something I would normally carry around personally. iPhone 6 is slick!

You know some moaned about the camera and antenna breaks on the i6 and Applephytes said 'put it in a case and it won’t matter'. Hope they don't moan when looking at the back, not the front - the back of it.
The iPhone does not really look like a phone. Go ask someone to draw you a phone and see what the first thing that comes to mind is. I’ll concede that they won’t draw the Nokia either.
If they draw a smart phone I’m pretty sure it’ll just be a plain rectangle woith a few buttons.
But, ……..again, we’re talking smartphones and as a previous poster said it’s pretty much a given that the iPhone6 does not have the best smart phone camera, it probably isn’t even in the top 6. I’ll eat my words if a side by side proves otherwise.

Very happy here with my iPhone 4 running iOS 6. Can't see what the fuss is about. It's just a phone that runs apps. Going to use this iPhone 4 until it conks out again. It broke once but the repair at the corner repair shop was so cheap it made it worthwhile. At the end of the day, an iPhone 6 is not going to make me deliriously happier, apart from the initial exuberance of getting a new toy.

Every new iPhone have been the fastest selling iPhone!

Next....

No need to get annoyed :)

And seeing the market grew Q1 2013 vs Q1 2014 apple barely sold any more ipphones .

Apple expect to ship a lot more phones now so at least apple is thinking that this is something a lot of customers want .

Again its clear apple saw a changing market and followed , nothing wrong with that .

Walt Mossberg/Lauren Goode (iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus), Re/code: "Oh, and if, like me, you rarely get a full day out of your current iPhone's battery, this might excite you: In my tests, which involved setting the display brightness to 50 percent and cycling through my regular routine of apps and phone calls, the iPhone 6 Plus would last from early one morning until evening the following day."
Does this mean that when 6+ is as old as Walt/LAuren's (old) iphone, it won't last a day anymore?
David Pogue, Yahoo: "On the right: Punctuation keys and actual cursor keys--a first on the iPhone."
So,
What do you think,
do we get both up and down cursor keys in iOS9 or up in iOS9 and down in iOS10?

If I have learned one thing from following the Macrumors forums over the last few weeks, it is this: "Changing your mind is a despicable thing to do!"

Because they know what's driving the bezel: the home button. I'll bet most people would take the bezels over the loss of the home button or some weird placement elsewhere. HTC One has large bezels and that generally got really good reviews. Oh and the Verge did call Apple out over the bulging camera lens and antenna lines. So it wasn't all gushing.

I have all these Android Phone vs iPhone debates with some friends quite often (tongue in cheek, we don't take it too seriously, just banter) and we all sort of came to the conclusion that the HTC One, Samsung Galaxy S4 and probably iPhone 6 are about the ideal maximum comfortable size in the hand. The friend with the HTC just upgraded to the M8 because he said he was already having battery issues one year in and while it's a lovely phone it just crosses the line of being a little too large for those not into phablets.

What holds the iPhone 6 back just a little are those large bezels though, the S4 is almost exactly the same size but with a 5" screen, the design and frankly the OS is dated now. You can keep dressing it up in different clothes but like an ageing Hollywood actress no amount of plastic surgery really helps that much, in many ways gets worse - in the case of the iPhone the bezels that were a feature of the original 3.5" phone and made it work well in the hand are now looking a little ungainly to say the least at this larger size.

If the iPhone 7 is merely another refinement now screen sizes are starting to stabilize (I'd imagine 4.7-5.0" will become the norm for "phones" again - 5.2-5.5" is definitely getting too large and strays the phablet zone too closely) then it will be a definite disappointment - even the 6 and 6 Plus were a bit of a let down for many. My Android-loving friends surprisingly seemed a bit disappointed (rather than taking the piss as usual) because at heart we're all techies and want to see progress and innovation rather than stagnation, at the very least if the new iPhones were truly beautiful to behold it would be something but they're pretty "meh".

As the size of the devices has increased I really think Apple need to go back the the drawing board with the iPhone now, they're starting to beat a dead horse with the design and need to truly freshen it up for the next gen, start thinking about new ways to implement the home button, shrink those bezels a bit and grow the screen (and resolution on the 6 as it seems to be a sticking point in those reviews) while maintaining the relative size they have, or even shrinking it a little. Pay some attention to battery concerns too and stop worrying about making it thinner all the time - one of the reviews even states that the HTC is more comfortable in the hand because it's thicker and shaped better.

Just my ramblings on it, my 6 arrives friday, I'm sure it'll be great but I'm not expecting anything special, just an incremental improvement over my 5 really.

Pretty much sums it up, unfortunately.

"Apple's extra pixel management clearly isn't as good as it could be, so anything with the screen on is going to be an issue."

Not just video playback. Reviewer said anything with screen on is going to be an issue. So yes, if you're listening to music a lot with the screen off the battery life will be amazing.

You keep making the blanket statement that the iPhone 6 has "terrible battery life"

Funny... none of the reviews came to that conclusion.

One review said they get 14-15 hours of use with the iPhone 6... compared to only 8-10 hours with the iPhone 5S. And other reviews had similar results. If a review had a Pros and Cons list... battery life was found more on the Pro side rather than on the Con side.

In fact... the same review you keep referring to said they got through 13 hours and still had 33% battery life left. That sounds great to me.

Basically... those who have actually tested the iPhone 6 haven't said anything resembling "terrible battery life"

To repeat.... you said "terrible battery life" and no one else said that. What does that tell you?

Well put. I was in an office yesterday where the argument was less reasoned. The hardware itself isn't going to set anything on fire, and indeed the 6 feels a little improvement over the 5 if I'm honest. Here in the UK, we've already heard that apple pay will be at least into next year, and I suspect 4G is years away from those of us in more rural spots.
My reason to stay is the user experience. I was on android for 3 or 4 years and initially the nexus one and S2 I had were fantastic. Delayed upgrades to newer hardware, repeated crashes and reboots became the bane of my life. Yes I could root and change, but I personally don't have the time to do that any more.

I suspect I'll be upgrading to the 6. If nothing else getting something with more space is almost becoming a necessity now. The additional battery life would be welcome; running launch pro and ifttt with a boatload of geofence triggers seems to hammer my 5.

Every reviewer's usage is different, so what it comes down to screen-on time. And the fact is the 5S has a better screen-on time than the 6. That's not saying much since the 5S is already terrible compared to other flagship devices.

The camera quality is important to me so I am thrilled to read Nilay Patel's review of the 6 Plus where he says...

"The iPhone 6 Plus camera is the best smartphone camera I’ve ever used. Apple’s holding firm at 8 megapixels while everyone else is racing to put ever-bigger numbers on spec sheets, and it feels like the right decision: the iPhone 6 Plus focuses faster, works better in low light, and generally produces the best photos I’ve ever seen from a phone."

Too bad David and Nilay couldn't compare the two since they both loved the cameras of both phones, but apparently the difference is only really present to some extent in low light situations. Still awaiting Anandtechs review who'll give us the final answer on that.

So the bottom line is that everyone loves the new iphone ?

Bottom line is that the media, who want to continue being invited to apple events and sent demo models, love the phone.

Remember what happened to Gizmodo?

Come friday you will get some good feedback from the user on MR.

Though the bottom line is, it is a great phone. Just now days you have alternatives which great phone you want.

Not too happy about the 1 GB of RAM in the phones as reported by MacWorld. They'll be struggling to keep up when Apple eventually releases split-screen multitasking.

I'll wait for the 6s+ in 12 months, more RAM, faster CPU, Sapphire glass, better camera...

Did anyone spot the 6 rows of apps on theverge video?
All promo pics of the 6 so far have only shown 5 rows. After seeing the Zoom mode I presumed that's why they left that space, so the 5 rows could smoothly fill the whole screen.

Why don't you wait for the 7 then? Just a 24 month wait for even more RAM, an even faster CPU, hardened Sapphire glass, better camera... and iOS 10 will be quite snappy on it.

So true. Life is short. Enjoy the latest and the Best while you can. Don't know whats happening 6 mos from now.

I see two new tablets, different sizes and both simcard tray. Calling these phones seems like a mistake.

I don't mind this. It's more important to be the best rather than the first IMO.

So according to the Macworld review, the 6 Plus is clocked at 1.39GHz while the 6 is clocked at 1.2GHz. This leads to 11% higher multicore performance.

So that's another difference between 6 and 6 Plus, other than screen size and OIS. I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere else so far.
