Some sites are truly shameless in their blind Apple worship, like The Verge. I mean its almost like they've never seen a big screen phone before! And why does no one take Apple to task for the huge top, bottom and size bezels? Phones like Note 4, G3 have bigger screens in a smaller body.

There's zero innovation, except for Apple Pay. Its literally just a bigger phone with updated internals. I bet that tons of hw/sw features were held back for the 6S/7 next year.

Its really frustrating to read reviews that seem like they came from the Apple PR dept with little in the way of actual facts or measurements or comparing to the competition, other than just gushing over how it made someone feel.

I'm not too sure on other sites, but The Verge's David Pierce was clear throughout his whole review that there's nothing spectacular about the iPhone 6...

Stephen Fry's review: http://www.theguardian.com/technolo...one-6-verdict-most-exquisite-mobile-ever-made

(damn it, when will I be able to call him Sir Stephen Fry )

Seriously, Stephen's one of my all time heroes. I'm not saying this because he's an Apple-fan. He's a beautiful, majestic spirit and a one-off, legend of a soul. His LGBT equality activism has been nothing short of inspirational and if there are a few people I'd love to learn how to be like in my years to come, one of them would be Stephen (Seriously. Where's the guys OBE already?).

I don't think I even have to begin with how perfectly executed and absolutely spot-on the first, four paragraphs were, either.:roll eyes:

Can’t have it both ways, darlings …

So... the iPhone 6 rocks around (on the camera) and it's better with a case, negating all the size savings. A leather case might feel pretty good though, other manufacturers have been making rubberized rear shells of a while now. The case solves the issue of the protruding camera and the unpleasant looking back of the phone I guess. Might have to try out that combo.

Although my 5S is better looking I don't find it comfortable to hold without a case. I didn't like holding the 4 either. I did find the older phone much more comfortable to hold.

A reviewer was complaining that the 6 was slippery. I expect it to feel just like the older iPod touches where the design comes from. I held those in store and I hated the feel. The older tapered version was even worse. That thing slipped out of my hand on the Apple showroom table.

And without case, if you drop your phone, expect disaster. A reviewer dropped his 6. Oopsie.

In 6 hours the iPhone 6 would be dead as opposed to the 5S having roughly 40% left.

Yes, I would consider that terrible battery life.

You picked ONE battery test... video playback... to base the iPhone 6 battery life on.

How about all the other things you do with a phone?

I just read the major reviews linked in this article... and they all had positive things to say about the battery life. They conclude that the iPhone 6 has better overall battery life than the iPhone 5S.

That certainly doesn't jive with your "terrible battery life" statement.

Waaah, going to be a long week for it to be released in Denmark on Sep 26 ....:eek::confused::confused:

But it's going to be so great getting it! I'll get a space gray iPhone 6 16GB. It's a huge upgrade over my iPhone 5.

SO if other do something simular to apple, they copy, if apple does the same it isnt copying?

Is this really hard to understand? You can't copy size, colour, or things like that? You copy the way it's implemented or designed! For example I wouldn't say Samsung did copy Apple with the fingerprint scanner because they did implement different technology. You can't patient a size, colour, shape, etc. The way you design things (using size, colour, shape etc) can be copied.

And yes, it does matter who copies who. Companies copying each other slows the innovation! They should work harder to innovate and pay the licence fee if they use other's stuff.

if i do decide to upgrade anytime soon i will go for the iPhone 6. I am sure it wouldnt take me long to drop the 6+

just looking at the Verge review gave me anxiety of it slipping out of his hand

Just love reading these android user coments. I read around 3 full reviews including Engadget, verge, guardian tech and others and I see no biased going towards apple. In fact they all said harsh words and have good and bad things to say.
All in all the iPhone 6 will change the market. IPhone 4s-iPhone 5s users will upgrade. Android users will switch. And this is just fact. It's not all about the biggest specs like camera iPhone kept its 8mp and all the reviews shows its the best camera already on market. So let's the anti-Apple bashing continue :apple::cool:

- Much Better Camera than Note 3 or Note 4, even last year'S 5s had a better camera.
- Much better CPU (compared to benchmark cheating and sluggishness reports about the Note 3), especially single core performance (the most important one),
- touch ID
- Better GPU, Better battery life (looked at several reviews).
- h265 encoding (first to do so).
- The Note 3 screen uses Pentile like tech AND is a lower resolution than the 6+, Anandtech gives it a lower score than the 5s or 5c.

YOu want me to continue... Or you going to tell me that 4K video on a very small sensor is anything else by a side show and is a "great" deal. Go get a photography course if you think this is true.

Anyway.. NO, the Note 3 is not in the same league as this phone, not even close.

ummm no....

i own a note 3 and the only one you mention thats valid is the touch id, there is no way the iphone is going to beat the note 3 in battery especially.

i can get 2 days easily out of the note 3 with moderate use, the note 3 has the same resolution as the 6 plus.

go back to the drawing board son.

Looking at the list of people who Apple gave the iPhone 6 to early, it show what parts of he media Apple trusts to advance Apple's interests.

I disagree, apple saw that these large phones did sell and deceided to make one of their own. Call how you like it but I doubt that without others pushing for ever larger phones we would have a iphone 6+.

Just love reading these android user coments.
So anyone whos comment you dont like is an android user? Strange .

I read around 3 full reviews including Engadget, verge, guardian tech and others and I see no biased going towards apple.
In fact they all said harsh words and have good and bad things to say.

I already gave the example above (not that all sites are like that)
Only weeks ago the size with an android 5.5" screen phone (with actually smaller in height phone) gets in its "cons" : bulky/large phone.
Iphone 6+ gets in its PROS: "Size makes it excelent for media consumption"

Strange to say the least .

There are very little reviews that dont have any bias, best just to try out the phone and see if it works for you .

All in all the iPhone 6 will change the market.
IPhone 4s-iPhone 5s users will upgrade.
Android users will switch. And this is just fact.

It will not change the market (not in any real sense every phone has buyers so every phone "changes" the market)
But I dont see anything worth copying for others and I dont see this atracting soo many new apple users .

It's not all about the biggest specs like camera iPhone

Its far from the best camera on market let alone in a phone.

I really dont understand the need to defend anything like a phone some people have .

I would have agreed if Apple did see it's iPhone sales declining. iPhone 5S was still the best selling phone and it only have 4" screen! But iPhone users wanted bigger screen and Apple could not ignore the fact that one screen size does not fit all. It was bound to happen, just like with iPad mini. Apple does changes whenever it feels like it's ready to. They got the NCF on the phone, surely fandroids would like to think that they copied competition but Apple is not one of these who would add something in the phone just for the sake of being there if it's not ready yet to use it.

I wonder how does it compare with nokia 808 or Lumia 1020.

It means he’s never used one. I have and though I’ve not yet used the iP6 camera I’m pretty sure the Lumia will trash, and I do mean trash it. Have a look at their site, and then this PDF, it’s ful of the usual glossy stuff but there is a great real world, (I’ve witnessed this), example of what you can achieve with it on page 19.
But I won’t harp on about it because at Apple we’re not spec whores and we have so many other things to be thankful of?

That? Thanks but I would rather carry around my Canon 6D!
It doesn't even look like phone, looks like some point & shoot camera.

Yes, I am also quite shocked that Apple only gave the iPhone 6 to various non-Apple tech blogs and the general mainstream press without giving a single iPhone 6 to an Android blogger. What a terrible example of self-serving bias!! :D

As Bob Marley said, “Don’t let ‘em fool ya, Ohhh Nooo. Ba dap bap da dap bap bap dap!” So what if they are at the top of the market? All companies would be stupid not to look at trends, even if they deem their products perfect. They must to stay one step ahead. Apple would like you to think that they march solely to their own tune. That is NOT true.

Brill, call me on it next time you get a chance. I want to speak to you about a document I sent to it.
Does the iPhone look like a phone by the way? I’d strongly wager not.

That’s great, so we’re talking smartphones and you bring a standalone camera into the argument.
Tell you what, when they post iP6 browser bench marks, I’m going to compare them with my tricked out MacBook Pro and tell you how rubbish the phone must be.

I tell ya. The way Apple have some people brainwashed, the inside of their heads must be so clean it makes their eyes sparkle like diamonds.

"Apple's extra pixel management clearly isn't as good as it could be, so anything with the screen on is going to be an issue."

Not just video playback. Reviewer said anything with screen on is going to be an issue. So yes, if you're listening to music a lot with the screen off the battery life will be amazing.

Best review: David Pierce on the Verge. His video was excellent as was his narrative and written piece.

RE/code: Extremely poor presentation. Awkward camera presence and poor content.

Whenever I read one of these reviews which say that the 6 Plus is huge or that you need really big hands to use it, I feel like cancelling my 6 Plus preorder. But then I grab the cardboard dummy I made to estimate the size, and I just shrug and feel like it's not all that big at all. I must have gigantic hands.

Of course, the weight will be an issue that can't be estimated by holding a piece of cardboard.

There was no other option if you wanted iOS .

And if i recall correctly the market grew even faster, aka apple market share dropped worldwide .

And didnt apple just announce this is the fasted selling iphone it had in years?

We will see how much use it gets , nobody puts such things on a phone and dont expect it to get used sorry but there is very little difference between apple and all the rest of the top companies they all try to make the best phone they can think of .

Yes, it does. You can hardly notice the camera lent. This Lumia on the other hand have a huge black circle where the lent is, making it look like point to shoot camera. Am not saying it's good or bad, it's not something I would normally carry around personally. iPhone 6 is slick!

Totally agree. He managed to cover just about every angle I was hoping for at this stage.

Did the same thing after getting doubts. There's no worries, man. We'll be fine. The more I see it i videos, the more I'm seeing it as the norm. Thats not counting it being in my hand for a while.
