Yea that argument was always crazy to me. As far as I'm concerned Samsung has been more stagnant then most companies in radical design change. There's almost no need for leaks on the galaxy devices you know generally what you're going to get.

LG isnt too far off either. But not as bad as Samsung.

And I hate to say, those who are also threatening to go to Samsung because of the camera bump are gonna be in for a surprise when they get there lol

I can see the optics, CPU & maybe the materials teams claiming to have done something this year. Wonder what the exalted bald guy will claim on his bonus appraisal at the end of the year? Looks like he just mailed his year's work in...

You may want to find out what "exalted" actually means. Ive is anything but.

Samsung camera Bump is less than the iPhone's camera bump. ;)

Call me agnostic. I laugh at both fans thinking one company has inherently better looking phones over the other. Sure, there's a trade off in software, extra variety and customization vs tighter integration and performance but the difference between the phone lines has never been narrower. I was envious of the first iPhone because it blew away all competition since, well, there was nothing like it. My Treo 650 looked like Sloth from Goonies. Now days? Pfffft. All large rectangular boxes with big bright screens running all the same apps. The first foldable phone screen or something like that will be impressive.

Come on as Rubbish as it was LG at least tried something new with their modular phone (LG G5).

I know full well what Samsung have in store for me as I used their phones for two years before I switched back to the iPhone. I'm using the S7 edge now and it's a great phone. Anyhow I'm thinking of cancelling my note 7 pre-order because despite being promised delivery on August the 30th I'm now being quoted before September the 9th. In which case this will be after the iPhone 7 is announced. Although I'm not very optimistic that I will upgrade from my 6S plus I might as well wait until after the keynote before I make my decision as my note 7 may not arrive until after the keynote. Apple might get me at the keynote. I was quite certain that I wouldn't upgrade last year from the 6 plus and low and behold I pulled the trigger after the keynote lol

In the meantime I can carry on using my 6S plus and S7 edge.

I agree with the G5. I was just saying they look the same from the front but it is totally different.

I used to have a Note 5 and S7E and had nothing but problems. I had 3 Note 5's in 2 months and 3 S7E in 2 weeks. Never again. The only thing I miss is Samsung Pay.

I am however getting the next iPhone only because I have Jump on Demand with T-Mobile.

Exactly this. The casing of the phone makes such little difference, I am not sure why people get so hung up about it. Until they can make a big jump (which a lot has to line up for) like new materials or new batteries, it's not worth it.

I couldn't care less what the next iPhone looks like. What I care about are the features. Now as an ecosystem iOS works much better for me than android. I have my iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, MacBook and 2 Apple TVs. I've spent £1000s on movies and TV shows which I can't take over to android and a fair bit on apps but the apps side doesn't really bother me.

However nothing in the leaks for the iPhone 7 so far point to something better feature wise than what is already available on android.

Water resistance - I already have on my S7 edge.

Dual camera- It would have to be something really special to surpass the camera on my s7 edge.

Dual speakers-latest leaks are now saying only one speaker

Touch sensitive home button- I'm on the fence here.

I'm also not keen on losing the headphone jack.

256 GB storage would be very nice. Although I've got 32GB plus 128 GB on my S7 edge and can potentially get 64GB plus 256GB on the note 7 internal storage is always better imo.

So basically to sum it up the leaks so far hardware wise are not even on a par with this years Galaxy devices. It's only the fact that the iPhone belongs to an ecosystem which I'm heavily invested in that makes me consider the next iPhone.

Uh....how were you going to see something "amazing"?

I take it you're one of those people that think the end all and be all of tech is how it looks?

Well yes. The note 7 houses a giant screen in a much more appealing and smaller package than the 6S+.

It's more comfortable to hold because the phone was designed around that big screen, as opposed to the 6S+ which was just a scaled up 6S. Resulting in a huge slab.

This phone should be named 6SS or something. It's not worth iPhone 7 name. As it's just a marginal upgrade.

First of all, I think we can exspect pretty much that this is the final design of iPhone 7, and it's probably leaked by Apple themself, like it always happend every year - for make the release even more exciting. (start to be kinda boring though)

i'm happy that they at least made a difference with the camera, that means that you need a new cover case for it, lol..(I run a small mobile accessories shop in Denmark, where we also sell iPhone 7 covers) That wasn't necessary for the iPhone 6S.

Personally I really hoped they would have changed more on the design, but at least they finally made more space for savings (about two years to late, after my opinion)

Anyways: I probably upgrade my iPhone 6S to iPhone 7 like anyone else, lol .... !

The phone hasn't been announced yet, we don't know what it will contain. There have been leaks and rumours, some more credible than others, but there's also a chance that there are a couple of surprises we don't know about yet, so i wouldn't jump the gun just yet.

Here's my take:

- water resistance; don't care if ya at least as water resistant as the 6s I'm happy
- camera I do care about, but it's not an upgrade factor
- dual speakers could be nice but again not an upgrade factor
- form and function updates. This is what I'm really interested in. Apple designs/integrates the best chipsets in the mobile market (IMO) and I'm waiting for the surprise that no one can expect from iOS 10 and a redesigned chipset.

Seems like the two phones are equal in your eyes, the iPhone is the better choice considering your ecosystem then.

I'm really looking forward to the iPhone 7 will be released. Many say it looks like the iPhone 6S on covers. But I wonder if it will have its own unique design as apple, the pressure on the market.
You will have to develop and stand apart from its competitors, like for example Printoncover where you can design your own unique cover.
It is the way forward if you want to be number one in the market.

If you think about it, with all the rumours about the 7, will it look exactly like there 6 and 6s? sure in terms of design shape it will, but with a bigger camera, dual camera on the 7 Plus and the redesigned antenna bands, it will look a little different. It's not like Apple are using the exact same as last year without even twerking it.
Also if the home button rumours are true, will the Force Touch home button look different? personally I'm still looking forward to the iPhone 7, mainly the dual camera and the features that were in the 6s (i'm stilling using the 6 Plus) so I'm sure people like myself will be interested in the 7. Will it be enough for them to upgrade, that will be an individual thing, some people it will take less to upgrade (much like myself) others it will take more. Only time will tell, we will have to wait and see what Apple announce, hopefully soon :)

Oh if I had the 6 plus still then the rumoured 7 would we a great update. Anyhow I said I wasn't getting tbe 6S + because it wasn't much of an upgrade on tbe 6 + and after the keynote I changed my mind.

how the A10 flies will be interesting as A9 is pretty damn quick as it is. As we saw in the recent speed test with the note 7.

camera is the main thing for me...want it improved and be great.

Interesting. Makes me glad I went ahead and ordered the Note 7 if this is legit, clearly shows nothing amazing for this year.

Cute guy, but why does this Asian pop star get to play with the new IPhones and get his pic with one so early? Kanye is going to be so jelly! Ah...I miss the good old days when we could hope that an Apple engineer would get drunk and leave the prototype in a bar. ;)
