Interesting. Makes me glad I went ahead and ordered the Note 7 if this is legit, clearly shows nothing amazing for this year.

But if it doesn't look different enough then threre's nothing new and no innovation at all!You can't tell anything from how it looks. So what if it looks similar to the 6 and 6S? That camera improvement is going to be stellar, not to mention the rest of the usual bumps.
I'm just glad I purchase my devices based on what they do for me, not how the case looks. It means I have stellar performing hardware, great cross-device/OS integration, and an overall awesome experience day after day. Otherwise, I'd be stuck with some dud of a phone that looks flash, but is really just a turd wrapped in aluminum.
For what it's worth, it seems to me they're keeping a similar look for this one so that for the 10th anniversary (which would normally be the 7S), they can do something very different (as per the rumors).
Call me agnostic. I laugh at both fans thinking one company has inherently better looking phones over the other. Sure, there's a trade off in software, extra variety and customization vs tighter integration and performance but the difference between the phone lines has never been narrower. I was envious of the first iPhone because it blew away all competition since, well, there was nothing like it. My Treo 650 looked like Sloth from Goonies. Now days? Pfffft. All large rectangular boxes with big bright screens running all the same apps. The first foldable phone screen or something like that will be impressive.
That seems to be the theme. Customers swapping back and forth between Android and iOS, realizing Android was not what they hoped for, ultimately coming back to iOS. Sometimes it takes someone to leave something, until they realize how much they truly appreciated it in the first place.
I use google for all of my contacts, Flickr for all of my photos and videos, and google music for music. That all allows for pretty effortless migration. I do this by choice because I have an android work phone and sometimes I want to be able to check something on one device or the other (though that's rare).a question for everyone: how can you find switching platform (Android-iOS) back and fort so effortless? call me lazy, but i cannot imagine going through the pain of migrating the contact list, chat history, photo album, music library, etc.. are there any tools that make it somewhat automatic?
To each their own I guess. I find the iPhone to just be a massive rectangle, albeit rounded. I don't really find the camera cutout being square any more or less attractive than a round camera cutout. It is what it is. I feel like the galaxy lineup looks a lot like last year's as well, from s glance anyway.Yeah but it's a massive square
The dual camera is absurd looking, especially with the bezel that looks like fish lips. Rather obscene really. The dual camera on the iPhone 7 will be a great feature, the 7 camera will also get a big update by the looks of it, if the leaks are true. People are underestimating the dual camera and what they can do.
Or many people won't really care about something that is as essentially irrelevant as that. The dual camera is absurd looking, especially with the bezel that looks like fish lips. Rather obscene really.
However it's the kind of gimmick Apple is good at hyping. It'll appeal to some.
Apple has always attracted vain users that have an emotional connection to the company. Quite often these types have to show off their iPhones, it's their identity, a self esteem issue. Bashing the competition to feel superior.Just skimming this thread I see a lot of mentions of android despite the OP making no mention of it. Why does a person's distaste in the next iteration of iPhone automatically lead to android discussion?
Except plenty of the referenced commentary seems to be coming from those putting the iPhone down and/or propping Android (and/or its manufacturers) up. Seems like what you mentioned is rather moot (and sort of comes of as more of an attempt to put down those who might like iPhone and Apple than anything else).Apple has always attracted vain users that have an emotional connection to the company. Using both I find they each have their strengths and are great smartphones. They're simply different.
I don't disagree.Or many people won't really care about something that is as essentially irrelevant as that.
Not a put down, just sharing an observation about a segment of Apple customers.Seems like what you mentioned is rather moot (and comes of as more of an attempt to put down those who might like iPhone and Apple than anything else).
as if the Note 7 looked any good, lol.
i cannot be the only one who thinks most samsung phones look hideous...
the only one i appreciated back then was the S3.
edit.

Yet. iPhone's sale is declining and Android sales is increasing.
I don't know about you m. I don't feel iOS is so much better than Android offering. I switch to Android long time ago and Nexus phone is my daily driver. I don't feel I truly appreciated with the iPhone.
I do carry iPhone as secondary phone, but never will be my primary phone.
I have no doubt that there are people out there who just like iPhone and iOS regardless. But I feel sorry for them.
It seems like a person mentions Apple's choices have mooed then to consider android (in this case a note 7) and people come out of the woodwork all offended telling them not to let the door hit them on the way out. OLED screen is not a "feature", it has no function per se. OLED is just a technical specification.I may come back to the 8, i may not, the 8 is going to have all the features that the note has now or had already (OLED screen, apple pen support, high quality camera etc).

I don't know why you would feel sorry for those who choose iPhones and iOS. If you prefer android over iOS that's your choice and prerogative. Personally having used iOS, android and Windows phones in my opinion iOS is far superior in every way to its competitors. iOS and iPhone has been my primary choice ever since the original iPhone and I have been and I am still perfectly happy with my choice. I don't need you or anyone else to feel sorry for me. After all it's a choice I have made based on my experiences and for me iOS and iPhone is by far the best choice.
There are ways to transfer files which you have listed but you don't want to use them because it's not the way you want to do it? I also don't know how you can say iOS is clearly a bad choice. For you maybe, but not for everybody. It's a great operating system and like any other it has its strengths and weaknesses. How is iOS far superior when you can get basic file transfer done without iTunes?
Show me how to transfer my PDF file to iPad without iTunes or without email myself bunch PDF files. How do I transfer files out of iPhone/iPad without email myself?
I do not feel sorry for people choice iOS, even though it is clearly bad choice. But I do feel sorry for people who refuse to look other side.

Buy the device you like, it's no skin off anybody else's nose.
You can use airdrop which is a wireless solution and much better than having to connect my iPad/iphone up to my mac. I can count on less than one hand the amount of times I've had to connect my iPhone or iPad to my mac.How is iOS far superior when you can get basic file transfer done without iTunes?

Yeah, so my kids can take stupid Snapchat selfies in even higher resolution and hit me with even higher data bills.
No thanks.

i wish more here would understand the difference...
Exactly. The rears of both phones I don't think compare. The iPhone's aesthetics as always trump the competition, it's much cleaner looking especially the way they represent the flashYeah but it's a massive square

Absolutely. Of course this is opinion based, but I believe overall if you couple apples form and functionality with pretty much their whole line its second to none. Maybe some can criticize some missteps they believe they took, but aestically and functionally I don't think you need to look anywhere else, the high quality materials used for the shell and the smooth OS will always keep me coming back. And how do I airdrop files between iPad and Windows and Air Drop does not work half of the time. It seems Air Drop will takes its sweet time to recognize my devices.
Nothing beats simple drag and drop.

Seriously? You think iPhone's aesthetic is good?
iPhone 6 is ugly piece of poop. It is wrost design Apple ever come up with. iPhone also has terrible screen body ratio.
By comparison, Galaxy S6, Huawei Honoro 8, OnePlus 3 etc are all better looking than iPhone 6 and 6S.
