Do people still camp outside Apple stores when iPhones launch?
I highly doubt it! iPhone innovation is on life support.Do people still camp outside Apple stores when iPhones launch?

SO BUMMMEDDDDD!
Why anyone still uses Australia post/startrack as a courier is a mystery of life.Mine was supposed to be delivered today. But good old Australia Post have done it again. It is now showing as Monday for delivery. My case from Bellroy has not shipped either and is at least another week away.
Well 16 pro was and 17 pro is a bit heavier again.Let's go blue! Just arrived, thanks One NZ!
First impression: Does this feel heavier than the 15 Pro?
I’ll wait another month or two to get my 17 Pro (either in silver or orange) as well as upgrading from my APP2 to APP3. I’m looking forward to seeing what the early adopters have to say. I also plan to see the Air at the Apple Store before I make my final decision to purchase the 17 Pro.I'm looking forward to my new iPhone 17 Pro in Cosmic Orange tomorrow. But I'm looking forward to my new AirPods Pro 3 even more. They might be the perfect Apple device. As for the 17 Pro, I'm going to attempt to not use a case for a week and see how it goes. I'm looking forward to the first drop tests to come out of Australia and New Zealand this evening to test the durability claims.
It’s about 20 grams heavier than the 15 Pro. The weight is identical to my heavy stainless steel 14 Pro which is kind of a bummer. That’s one of the reasons I’ll be looking at the Air before buying the 17 Pro.Let's go blue! Just arrived, thanks One NZ!

Maybe because they don't make a "Black" iPhone 17 Pro!I ordered a black iPhone 17 Pro. Haven’t received a confirmation yet though.
So glad I went with blue. Tomorrow morning!Let's go blue! Just arrived, thanks One NZ!

How much storage did you use on your 15 Pro?Also, I'm trying wired transfer for the first time ever (15 Pro --> 17 Pro) using the USB-C cable that came with the 17 Pro. Looks like it'll be around 70–80 minutes all up.
Apple "charge cables" are USB2, not USB3. Do you know much space your 15 Pro was using up?Also, I'm trying wired transfer for the first time ever (15 Pro --> 17 Pro) using the USB-C cable that came with the 17 Pro. Looks like it'll be around 70–80 minutes all up.
No line at the Lego store either……The queue for early pickups is just starting here at Chermside in Brisbane. View attachment 2551920

was wondering if it actually has stereo speakers. Evidently it does, I thought both speakers would at bottom of the phone. Nope……..not according to the specs…………..
Apple customers in Australia and New Zealand are starting to receive their iPhone Air, iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max orders, since it is already Friday, September 19 in those two countries.

Orders of the AirPods Pro 3, Apple Watch Series 11, Apple Watch Ultra 3, and Apple Watch SE 3 are also arriving.
Apple fans who ordered a new device will soon be sharing photos and first impressions of the new iPhone 17 models on Instagram, Reddit, the MacRumors forums, and other social networks. If you've received one of the new devices, let us know in the comments below and share pictures and your initial thoughts.
There are no Apple retail stores in New Zealand, so customers in Australia are the first to be able to pick up their new devices or make a purchase in an Apple Store. In-store stock in Australia will provide insight into what we can expect at other Apple locations around the world.
The iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max did sell out during the pre-order period, and online shipping estimates are now into October. We are expecting retail stores to have available supply though, so if you missed pre-ordering, you should be able to get a new iPhone from Apple or from another big box retailer like Target, Walmart, or Best Buy.
After Australia and New Zealand, sales and deliveries of the new iPhone 17 models and the other devices will begin in Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and finally, North America. Some Apple Stores worldwide are opening early at 8:00 a.m. local time to allow customers to pick up reserved devices and make walk-in purchases.
Stay tuned to MacRumors, because we'll have hands-on and unboxing videos tomorrow, plus deep dives into the design, cameras, and feature sets of the new devices.
