First iPhone X Orders Begin Shipping Out to Customers

This I dont know sorry, my first time ordering to store.
My bet would be on it just changing to ready for collecting.
 
UPS said my phone will not be delivered until Nov. 3rd but that Apple had intended to ship earlier then they did.
Color me confused. I still wonder why the Manage Home Deliveries screen shows delivery by 6 PM Oct. 31st - I knew it was too good to be true.
 
Does anyone who preordered through att and have a delivery date of nov 3rd have a order status of “in progress”? Cuz my order has been like that im kind of scared that somethings wrong with my order

This is completely false. When you receive the email from Citizens One it states that you won't be charge until the phone ships.

It was like that for me, and I checked my email junk it stated I need to call so they could assist so I won’t lose my spot, if I don’t call in by 11:59 they’ll cancel

They are processing a lot of orders. Go with the original delivery date, regardless of your process stage, unless you’re notified of some unseen delay :)

I ordered right through ATT and this morning my status went from in progress to preparing to ship. I order at 440am est just so you know.

Apple finally charged my card. I’m picking mine up in store. Can anyone with experience with this tell me if I’ll see a “shipping to store” status update, or will it just change to “ready for pickup” Friday morning?

I need to know because I am compulsively refreshing the apple store app every couple of hours hoping for something to change lol.

I’m glad I can pick up my shiny new iPhone X Friday morning at 10 am, but I miss the excitement of tracking it from China to my doorstep like with my 7 Plus last year. I’d love to be able to track this from China to my apple store, though that doesn’t seem likely.

I wonder if anyone in Europe has seen updates already. I expect 2 phones on Nov. 3 and I wonder if they will be shipped from China or there is some stock in EU already.

Good to know that I'm not the only one where the status isn't updating with picking up in store. I still have "Processing Item" as a status. I would love to see that it will at least change to "shipping to store", but probably it will just show up "ready for pickup" on Friday.

It will say "Shipping to Store," when Apple decides it's shipping (generally when the item hits US checkpoint, Anchorage, or when it hits destination facility: All pre-orders direct from Apple have already left China, most carriers already have them in their distribution centers) then "Ready for Pickup," on the morning it's ready, so Friday pickup if your order date is for the 3rd.

For example, my X Leather Case is, "Shipping to Store," and will be ready for pickup Nov 1st. When I wake up on Wednesday it'll be, "Ready for Pickup."

Mine has said preparing to ship since yesterday ordered from AT&T they usually ship fedex prolly wont see any shipping status till around wed

Good information, thanks. Just got notification of my Apple black leather folio case shipping and arriving on 11/1 - but absolutely nothing so far re: my iPhone X shipment. My order was a pre-order through Apple.

If true all pre-orders have left China and that most carriers (mine being Verizon) have them in distribution centers - then we should be seeing tracking information soon.

Called Apple earlier today . They said should get shipping notification tommorow or wednesday

In other words the anticipatory excitement is building. It is like being a bull in a china shop, or a kid at Christmas except this year our presents come early (if you pre-ordered in time or snagged one at the Apple Store!)

Got FedEx notification for incoming delivery on 11/2 between 10am and 2pm. It's currently in Champaign IL. Originally from Durham NC.
 
getting worried a bit here.. my tracking still says « preparing for shipment » with a delivery date of nov 3rd. I’m in Canada.. anyone in the same boat?

This. ALL of this! I was so afraid I wasn’t gonna be able to get it in time, I’m just glad I’m getting mine on the 3rd. IDK what I’d do if I had to wait until December. More power to those who have no choice but to wait, but this 3-day anticipation is killing me.

I ordered from sprint and I got my tracking number yesterday. Even though it’s 2nd day air delivery, the delivery date says November 3rd even tho in the email from sprint it said estimated delivery was today. Someone told me they ordered from t mobile and got theirs today
