To be honest, I am not 100% sure, but it would most likely change to "Shipping to Store" and then once it is there, you it will change to Ready for Pickup at whatever time you were given.

Hopefully your pickup time is late, so I can get mine before you... LOL... just kidding, hopefully it is an early time for you. :)

Haha dont worry mine is nice and late, wasnt sure what happened if you missed your slot so made it 8pm so I have time to get home, get changed, fight the traffic and browse the shops that I can no longer afford due to the iPhone lol

Still seeing preparing for shipment on the AT&T site for my launch day delivery. Anyone else getting this?
I ordered through att and i still have “in progress”. But i talked to att and they said iphone x bought from att comes from the us and not china so thats why they didnt ship it yet probably

It's fun reading these threads because we're all excited to get our iPhone X's...but lets be serious for a moment. You guys do know that these devices have to be unloaded, sorted, and placed on a truck right? It's 10:29am where I am which means it's almost the middle of the work day. Give the UPS and FedEx workers time to do their job and sort through millions of iPhone boxes...ok? If you have a November 3 delivery date, you will get it. Take a chill pill and have some fun in this thread. "Preparing to ship" or "Preparing for shipment" is a good status to be in because that means the delivery label for your iPhone X has been created and assigned to your address.

Why are you guys calling ATT and Apple? "Preparing to ship" or "Preparing for shipment" is a good status to be in because that means the delivery label for your iPhone X has been created and assigned to your address. All of the devices comes from china but tracking will start in the US when the status changes to shipped.

Mostly true. I just spoke with AT&T and their phones are shipping from the US, but most won't be shipping until tomorrow (2nd) for delivery on Friday (3rd).

Of course ATT is going to tell you they ship from the US because that's where their shipping information starts. Where do you think the phone itself ships from? They don't make the iPhone in the US. They ship FROM China TO the US for warehouses to ship to customers and carriers. So, all true.

Agreed, which is why I said they are shipping to us from the US. I am well aware the phones are made in China.

Hey I just found this on the Apple website, figured you might be interested, its the different statuses for Shipping to store:

Order Placed: Your order has been placed.
We’ve received your order and payment information. Though you can’t make changes to your order right now, you’ll be able to when we start preparing your order.

Order In Progress: Your order will be available soon.
We have all the information needed to complete your order. As soon as the item is ready, we’ll send you an update and prepare the shipment. You can still make changes to the order at this point.

Preparing for Shipment We're preparing your item(s) to ship. At this point, your order cannot be changed or canceled.
We'll send a Pickup Notification email to you when your item(s) are ready to pick up at The Apple Store.

Shipping to Store Your order has shipped and its on the way to the Apple Store. We'll send you a Pickup Notification email when it’s ready to be picked up. Please wait for that email before coming in.

Ready for Pickup Your item is ready at the Apple Store. When you come to the store, just remember to bring the card you used for payment, or the order number and a valid photo ID. We'll need them to confirm your pickup.

Pickup Canceled We've canceled your item for pickup at the Apple Store. We initiate a refund immediately after a pickup item is canceled.

Picked Up Your item has been picked up from the Apple Store.

Mine is still at Order in Progress, but it will be in London ready for collection Friday for sure.

Good in theory, but my status didn’t updated to “shipped”. And I personal think it won’t, the next status will be “Ready for pick up”. My pick up time is still on Friday and I’m still at “Order in progress”.

I've always wondered what takes Apple so long to post the delivery information. Having been an Apple customer for a long time, I should know the drill by now.

Latest on my personal order, hoping Apple provides shipping update once it ships out of Louisville, KY.

FlightAware tracking information:

SDF LOUISVILLE, KY
took off from Anchorage Intl - ANC
landed at Louisville Intl - SDF
TUESDAY 31-OCT-201716:48 AKDT
(1 hour 18 minutes late)

WEDNESDAY 01-NOV-201701:57 EDT

UPS Departure Scan (we did get a scan before departure):
Anchorage, AK, United States 10/31/2017 4:30 P.M. Departure Scan

This process has totally exposed my OCD :) Perhaps I should become a package detective.

Thanks for the info - mine was also on that plane. This may be old news, but my credit card has been charged.

Departure Scan from Hong Kong just appeared.

Do you know how we can track the shipping in the airplane?

I wish I knew! I’m sorry. Below is the best I could find and it doesn’t look promising. One of them has already left Hong Kong and I haven’t had a departure scan. Ill keep trying, let me know if you have any changes!

Of course, as I type that, mine also has a departure scan from Hong Kong!!! Maybe it’s the below flight?

Thanks for adding the link - I guess screenshots only go so far for folks!

Hopefully we are correct! (Otherwise I’m just stalking some random plane, lol)

Ok cool. Just asking for fun. I have a feeling we’ll be seeing movement late today early tomorrow.

Hopefully we are correct! (Otherwise I’m just stalking some random plane, lol)

Mine seems to be on the same plane as yours. Showing up via UPS departure scan at 4:30 PM Anchorage time but no scan saying it arrived into Louisville, KY. I wonder why not? Also, why did the flight come via Air Cargo instead of UPS?

My notification of shipping from Apple on my iPX case came yesterday afternoon at 402 pm - and it arrives sometime today, on truck for delivery.

@BruinPharmD - Apple uses Air Cargo and other means of shipping products.

It has now been over fourteen hours since NCR628 landed in Louisville from Anchorage. No reflection of my shipment being there - nothing since Anchorage. I thought for sure it would leave Louisville, KY today but no signs of it so far at least according to any tracking info from UPS or the lack thereof from Apple.

Ordered from sprint in the first 2 mins of pre-order, got shipping info 29th. Nothing else has happened.
