Wow, can't believe a multi-thousand dollar computer was simply left on a doorstep.
(A yearly seasonal surge in doorstep package thefts has been all over the local news recently.)
I spent more on iOS devices this fall and I'm not rich.
littleboy... I work 60 hours a week at my computer developing iOS apps, don't hate! I am not rich

I'm most certain it did not happen that way.
Apple is one of those companies that requires signature upon delivery for higher value items, or requires you to fill out a package release form taped to your door.
More than likely this person signed for it, set it down, and took a picture. Or, they signed the release form (a gutsy move, I couldn't even do that for my iPhone)

For most it's a tax deduction

Must be nice to be rich...
Wow - some people are going to have a happy christmas for sure! I wasn't aware that they were going to arrive this soon.
The IDEs themselves are going to be unaffected. High RAM levels can help in very complex projects by permitting more active compilers, as can a higher core count. In projects with few compilers, high core count and high RAM count won't really help. You'll want faster cores for that, and most Mac Pro configs will lose out to an an i5 there. (As will other workstations)I'm not so sure.. additional processor cores, ram, and faster SSD storage are all factors that will influence the speed of those development tools, especially if you are working in Windows/OSX at the same time (which I have to do everyday) It's overkill for sure, but it would most certainly be faster.

One could easily argue an iMac + a Windows machine would have been cheaper, though.

Will these be available to try in the Apple Store anytime soon?!
If you spent over $3000 on iOS devices then in my book you are rich.
Can I get a Mac Pro with just one graphics card instead of dual?
No? But I don't think Logic Pro X needs the extra graphics card
I just want an excuse to replace my Mac Mini...
