can't you simply deactivate the always on display? https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT210428I’m torn. I can’t decide if it’s worth the upgrade. I wanted the always on display for a long time but I also like that my Series 4 can only really be seen by me when I lift my arm.
I think if there was space gray instead of midnight I’d be sold. The blue hue from midnight wouldn’t go with a lot of my straps.
It is the angle the photos were taken.Maybe it’s the angle but that doesn’t look great. Screen is too bulbous looking compared to the band. Kinda cartoony.
Aye, upgrading from a S4 (that's performed admirably despite a cracked screen) will be a significant improvement. I'll jump on in like half a year where you can get entry-level models for $30+ off, since it's been pretty consistent recently with Apple's cheapest products. I was tempted to even get the red S6 just because it was $329 virtually all the time.Agreed. Pretty incremental year over year, but it adds up to enough over series 4
Could not agree with you more. Will never happen, but it should.I think Apple needs to pause it’s hardware development for a year or 2 and start pumping some more dollars into software.
iOS hasn’t really changed much since 7. It’s still a small-screened OS stretched over a big screen. This so why we still have reachability as a sticking plaster. It needs redesign info from the ground up for 6” screens and one-handed use.
WatchOS does the job but the app menu is a mess. The A-Z is cumbersome and the flower arrangement unweidldy. This needs a bit of a redesign too.
iPadOS is still iOS pretending to be a desktop. Why not just rebuild it for the way users actually interact with the device? AND ADD IN MULTI USER ACCOUNTS.
TVOS hasn’t gone anywhere for a while and I guess it’s a hard place to innovate. But then the menu on my Xbox is lightning quick and never gets in the way. Something more akin to that might be preferential. I’d also like to see more made of Apple Arcade with a box sold with a controller.
i’m in the same boat. i have a series 4 and the glass is a bit scratched after 3 years so looking to upgrade. its funny because i bought the 1 and then the 2 but not the 3 because it was not a big upgrade over the the 2 (mainly cellular, which i did not need since i have my iphone with me 363 days each year). i got the 4 since it was the big design-change/upgrade year and i felt the 5 would be a minor upgrade in comparison, but in actuality the 5, 6 and 7 have all been pretty minor with 7 having the design change but not much else this time. you kinda gotta add them up to get a big upgrade.
I think there is something really weird with that photo - the angle and maybe also something to do with the lens used and/or the distance from which it was taken? (I’m not a photographer.) I agree that it looks really bulbous, hopefully way more so than in real life, but also look at the straps - the top one looks really thin relative to the body whereas the bottom one looks closer to normal. Something really seems to be messing with the perspective in these photos.Maybe it’s the angle but that doesn’t look great. Screen is too bulbous looking compared to the band. Kinda cartoony.

You will be in watch heaven.Coming from a series 2. This is going to be awesome.
Apple’s website has multiple pictures of the Series 7 with different bands and from different angles.Maybe it’s the angle but that doesn’t look great. Screen is too bulbous looking compared to the band. Kinda cartoony.
