I scratched the screen on my 6S+ and I have no idea how it happened! I'm always very careful with my phones and never ever had any scratches on any of my previous iPhones-never. This is the very first time. Never used any screen protector either, because phone goes from dedicated pocket (never anything in the pocket with the phone) to the table or book shelf where I charge it. Thats pretty much it. I have no idea where this scratch came from, but this must be the worst glass material of all iPhones ever made, since I use it exactly the same manner as all my previous phones and never ever had any scratches before!!! "The most durable glass we've created so far" like apple said during presentation???? Definitely not.

I've never gotten a dent in my previous cars, but for some reason I got one recently and I have no idea how it happened! I've never ever had a dent before, so let me blame the car manufacturer for my mistake and make up some nonsense about them not using strong enough materials.

That's how it works, right guys?

Wow...what did you smoke today? Your definition is way more 3d version LOL

Bad luck is all it is. Also your current phone has more screen to scratch than your previous ones. Going naked is like playing Russian roulette and your current phone ate it this time.

Totally agree on the fact that screen is bigger, therefore easier to scratch. That's something that I've been thinking myself too, and possibly this is a reason too...I sure want to hope that it's as durable as older versions, and not other way around

Why not take the guesswork out of the equation and just use a screen protector? There are plenty of good ones in the marketplace these days, those who haven't used one for years just remember the cheap film things.

I always go naked too and have never gotten a scratch. That would really irk me....especially if I did not drop it. From those saying it is easy to do or to be expected if you are not using a screen protector have no idea what you are talking about. I have never had a single phone in my life screen scratch without a drop.

Thanks, exactly same with me, never used any of the screen protectors and was fine, except 6S+ new "durable" glass...it's too late to get screen protector, it's scratched so I'm gonna live with that...I'm not upset or anything, this is the phone, I don't really care, but just the fact that newer phone scratches easily while older models never did (with the same usage) bothered me...
If seeing the scratch bothers you, putting a screen protector on now will at least cover it up so you won't see it anymore.

Not so bad? It looks awesome!

yup, and do you see that ugly scratch in the middle of the screen?
that's from NOT putting a SP ASAP... :(
believe me, the sad emoticon is my exact face each time i see that.

No phone with a screen protector will ever look or feel as good as as a naked phone. Just take care of your device and be careful with how you handle and it your screen will not scratch. Not trying to sound like a sick, but this isn't rocket science. If it scratched, you did it.

not it does not cover it up, it just makes it MORE visible (as you could see in the pic above)

No, that's from not handling a phone with care. Scratches do not just happen nearly as easy as some people believe. My phone has never had a screen protector on it and the screen is pristine. I don't baby it, I just don't throw it around or put it in a bag or pocket with other junk. It's very, very easy to not scratch an iPhone screen.

My friend, don't be upset about the tiny scratch! Change your emoticon to :) and forget about that super unimportant thing as a scratch on the phone! :)

say what you will, you are probably a very tidy and arranged person.
well i had the phone for 3 days with pristine (pocket, table and bedside) care and still, one grain of something in my pocket might have done this.
i don't accept claims like "well, you haven't been careful enough".
even you, yes YOU! could get a scratch from who knows what.
so for every other less then 100% tidy as you are, i would suggest putting a SP.
