TO ALL THOSE WHO THINK THAT'S MY FAULT : I completely forgot!!! I have knives, razor blades and all kind of ninja high quality sharp weapon in my pocket where I have my phone. How could I completely forget about that. Oh and several screws and nails as well!!! So you are all right, it's totally my fault!!! How could I forget about all those, and now I need re-think this, because durability of the screen actually not bad at all. Just one tiny scratch from all these sharp objects in my pocket dangling with the phone! LOL

Well, it's nice that you finally admit it :D

Ok here we go again, got another very tiny scratch!!! Dannggg...

Now go ahead blame me for that one too :(, and tell me how it's my fault and how rough and inappropriate I'm using the phone, where in reality it was pretty much all the time between being on books shelf and my dedicated pocket (like always with all previous phones). This is really bizarre that it scratches that easily out of nowhere...very disappointed, especially because none of the previous phones showed anything like that and years I've been using them naked.

Same pair for trousers/pants? If so, there may be a bit of grit in that pocket that has done damage for a second time. Always a good idea to wash trousers/pants with the pockets turned out, otherwise that same bit of grit will be in the pocket indefinitely.

Actually not, got myself a new jeans...

There was someone in another thread that said they had LOTS of micro scratches in their 6S after a week and there was a suggestion that perhaps the oleophobic coating had not been correctly applied. I have no idea if that could be true or not but more than likely you would have a lot more than 2 scratches by now if that were true.

It is also the case that one of the most likely times to scratch a phone is when you are looking for scratches! This is because you start by taking a cloth to polish your phone and the wiping action is a danger in itself if a bit of grit is sitting on the screen.

Would you consider using a folio type case. If a bit of grit gets behind the case flap and phone it won't help, but it will reduce the risk of fresh attacks to your phone everytime you slide in and out of a pocket. Also, jean pockets are generally tighter than chinos etc and so press harder against the phone.

Thanks, I appreciate your advice. I saw that thread and was thinking similar but then by now it would be all in scratches, like you suggest so it's not the case here I think.

No, I'm not looking for a scratches at all, as the matter of fact when I saw very first one I thought it's a dirt, but after several days this "dirt" didn't go away so I tried to clean it and realized it actually a scratch. I don't know if I would consider folio type case, I like using it naked, and all of those add bulkiness to the phone and in my opinion take away the original design. And I have been doing so for many years until 6S+ suddenly started showing scratches.

A couple of posters thought they had scratches on their phone, but it was actually a curled up dust fibre sitting under the screen. As the glass is so thin, when you shine a light on the screen, it is hard to tell if something is above or below the glass. Scratches are not normally the size of a "dot" or have an appearance like a funny shape (e.g. when you look extremely closely it is an almost circular mark)...scratches are normally distinct lines because the damage is normally done during a sliding motion, not just pressure. Are you sure you are seeing scratches and not discovered a minute dust fibre under the screen?

yea, whether the screen may be more delicate or not,
you were advised to put a SP to prevent another scratch,
so now you've got 2...

OP, why are you telling use your sad stories ? We really don't care, since you did it yourself. ;)

I thought this is the forum where you share your stories, sad or happy? No? Then what's the point of the forum?

Self inflicted wounds to your iPhone is not a story I would brag about on any forum.

You and I are different. Don't expect whole world to do what you do.

You, and many others, don't get my main points of this thread, which are:

1-telling with my experience that 6S+ scratches way more easier than any other previous iPhone;

2-my recommendation is to get a screen protector;

That's all!

I'm not blaming anyone, not you, not me, not my neighbor that listens music at 2 am loud, nor the school bus driver that just passed my building! Noone! I just telling the fact that this phone scratches...how hard is it to understand? Please stop posting unrelated posts as I'm a baby boy went naked and now blaming apple, or I'm not careful with my phone, or any nonsense like that.

I scratched my previous iPad when I was wiping the screen with a microfibre cloth. Damn these tiny grit particles!

I now always shake the clothes before using them.

Ok I'll admit I deserve a Darwin Award for scratching my screen today. Have Sprint... Somehow their service sucks on iPhone 6S go figure. iPhone 6 sitting next to it works just fine. Anyhow I digress. So I got sick of having no service and bought a T-Mobile SIM kit. Of course, I didn't have a proper SIM eject tool (thank you Apple). Searched the house and found, you guessed it! A Christmas ornament hook! Popped it into the SIM slot and only noticed, too late, that the other end of the hook curved around and was scratching my screen! Big sigh!

For those of you that say you've never used one on any of your phones and have never gotten a scratch before - I call bullpoop!
I've meet enough of your type when buying used phones and I always immediately find tonnes of scratches the seller claims he never noticed before or that it isn't really a scratch!

Bullpoop to you! I've never scratched any of my iPhones before, why are you commenting such useless statements?

None of my previous iPhones ever had a scratch without screen saver, PERIOD. End of story about it. And 6S+ scratches like crazy. THATS ALL!!!!

Stop posting some idiotic statements that you will find a scratch or I'm not noticing it.

BTW, in the meantime I have noticed several more scratches, yes several more!!!! And I didn't even posted it here because now I'm afraid of people like you saying why am I not using the screensaver, and accusing me that all my previous phones were scratched too that I didn't noticed. Sigh....

Sorry to hear that! I'm really bummed that it scratches so easily....

All it takes is one grain of sand to end up in your pocket and then all of a sudden your phone is scratched up.

Hey, its life. You walk around with an unprotected phone and eventually it'll get that used look. I'm honestly surprised my naked 6S hasn't been scratched or dented yet.

Agree with OP, your comment is valuable. Disagree, you're apparently smoking something. Learn to accept dissenting opinions for what they are. There's no need to be so defensive.

agree, right, but there's no reason of accusing me on some nonsense things either...we all talk and discuss here various things, yet there are some people that demand whatever they say is the rule and there is no other way...

You're luck just ran out there pal! No need to blame Apple for the crap you have in your pockets or wherever that scratches your phone!
The new screen is no less durable than the screen they used last year based on the test they conducted on Consumer Reports. I doubt it's more scratch resistant.
Plus Apple Apple doesn't claim it is scratch proof!
