I'm gonna need to charge my phone 5 times today with all the refreshing of this site and my Apple order status page.

There was that one fellow who created a service to e-mail blast a list of folks as soon as the status of one of the persons on the list had their status changed. The thread was removed though; I'm assuming the folks here decided to report it for being too sketchy - you had to provide e-mail address and order #s, which is how the API call works. But I digress, anyone wanting auto-refresh can easily set up an IFTT service and provide notifications for when the order changes - it's almost the same as what that earlier person provided.

Well, I just got dinged for $31.03 on my credit card. It's gotta be the 1M charging cable I ordered right after the preorders of my :apple:WATCHes. We're getting there!

Never mind, I was posting to say that I was charged for the apple care on my watches, but realize now that was for something else we bought. Below is what I see when I log in. My watch is still Available to ship for the end of May, but my wife is pushed all the way to JULY.:eek:

Processing Items Available to ship: 4-6 weeks
Delivers: May 14 - May 28 by Standard Shipping

Looks like more click-bait like yesterday's iMac shipping slip post. Headline sounds like something happens but when you read to the end....nope.

Is there a source for pre-orders actually moving to distribution centers, or purely speculation?

- Apple Watch...

And of course the Apple Watch BatteryGate. ;)

or is there nothing at all to this story? Clickbait deluxe!

Title says shipping but article says no reports! Come on at least have some substance to the article please.

The article has been updated to clarify that bulk shipments have begun, according to our reliable source. We did not mean to imply that pre-orders have been bumped to Prepare for Shipment yet, but I understand how the headline could have led you to believe that and apologize if it was misleading.

Haven't seen anything to think this is true, but hope so. If they are in the US, we might not see updates for a couple of days.

Wait until you see a picture of the pilot next to the pallets/boxes.
Cause a $%$storm last time.

And, will it bend when you sit on it, sticking your hand into your back pocket?

From Apple Support Chat:

Due to popular demand, the delivery dates have been pushed back. The Apple Watches are now on back order due to overwhelming demand:(:apple::confused:

Yeah so? That doesn't mean the ones who pre-ordered already got pushed back.

For what it's worth, they do not match Nilay Patel's description of the Sport packaging.

But going from his descriptions, the Edition/SS versions don't match with what we've seen either.

I think he's much more likely to have been describing the inner box which the watch will actually be in: that fits with him describing the SS box as 'white plastic with felt lining' and the Edition as having the MagSafe built in. The box we'll actually see is white cardboard, and similar across all three lines (apart from perhaps the Sport being longer and more oblong than the square SS/Edition boxes).

Not 100% sure, but I think that would make sense.

This quote is allegedly from Apple support chat, which isn't always accurate, and is likely just an explanation as to why the current shipping estimates for someone buying an Apple Watch today are at 4-6 weeks or later for most models.
