That is the worst kind of teasing. I had my hopes up so high for a few seconds while I looked up my order status then finished reading the article to find that there haven't been any reports yet.

good luck beta testers

see you at version 2 with better battery and a faster GPU/CPU

That's why I went for he Sport first off, plus I have a decent job so I'll buy another one and eBay this one if the next generation is significantly better.

But what about you, will you get the 2nd Gen? What about the 3rd Gen, won't that be better? Or the 4th? Maybe you can just keep waiting and waiting indefinitely as the the next one is only round the corner.

The article references US distribution centres,

Being in Canada, do the same rules apply for 04/24-05/08 shipments? Are the Apple Watches likely being sent to Canadian distribution centres in preparation?

SERIOUSLY? I cannot imagine ever having so little to do in my life that I would haunt the message boards for a product I do not want. How many of us who WANT and are excited about our Apple Watch have spent ONE minute over on an Android or Pebble board bragging about our indifference to their product?

Look into recipes for using Wordpress for making HTTP calls. The last I heard, you should still be able to send a URL to the body of a Wordpress post and have IFTTT make the call. I don't believe Apple has an open API for retrieving order status information though, so I won't be able to go into this for you.

Incidentally, I am curious as to how the Deliveries app that's been mentioned around here does this. If the API call is indeed not open, then JuneCloud must be skirting around Apple's usage policies.

Thanks, will look in to this.

What he said!

Oh don't worry, I'll see you there also. I have tons of money so happy to beta test. Enjoy your (anything up to) 3 year wait.

Yup. Cracks me up too as we all know Apple products have an amazing re-sell value so all of us "beta testers" are not losing much if anything. If I can order my Sport Watch for $350 and use it for a year and then sell it for even half of that, I would be more than thrilled. Stop complaining people.

My Apple stuff always comes through the States. I assume our watches will be distributed through the US centers.

apple watch pre order

I ordered my watch at exactly 3:01 EST and got a reply fof 4 to 6 weeks.
Waht a load of crap!!!!
I am hoping that if they ship early maybe my delivery will change also:confused::confused::confused:

When I get mine I am sure I won't be alone in being a little sad...

here is why:
1) the anticipation and excitement will be over, the wait for something shiny and new is for me more a high than getting it for me anyway.
2) i'll have to answer...yes its the apple watch at LEAST 200 times for the next few days.
3) i'll come to the realization that I never really needed the watch and my desire was fuelled only by apples marketing and my apple fanboy desires.

Hey, there's always the anticipation for Apple Watch 2 and the in-and-out of regret for not waiting, but then pioneers think different.

Thanks, will look in to this.

Oh one caveat. I'm not sure if that process will allow you to perform additional logic (e.g., actually check what the order status is, and perform the Send E-Mail action only if it is "Preparing for Shipment", etc.). If that is what you want, and IFTTT is not capable of that, you may want to roll your own REST client instead - making the API call is trivial, and you'll just need to find an email client you prefer, e.g. Mailgun. Might be overkill, but might also be a fun side project.

Chargers before watches

Well, it looks like my spare chargers are getting ready to ship anyway.

I received my confirmation email at 2:02 am central. Got the 4/24 thru 5/8 date.

I just checked my card. I did have a charge from Apple, but it was for the extra charging cable I ordered for the watch.

I preordered right at 3:00 AM Eastern, right when they became available yet my deliver date is May 13 - May 27.

###

Yeah, very uneven order/delivery times. I ordered 3:03 EST and have the 4/24 - 5/8 delivery date. So much depends on model and band combo…

I'd certainly love for it to show up Friday so I could hunker down with it on Saturday, not going to hold my breath, though.

I love the reaction this is getting by some users considering how secretive of a company Apple is. Part of being able to keep sources close to a company like Apple is not to reveal them, just because your status hasn't updated doesn't mean anything isn't happening behind the scenes, you are not a pretty and unique butterfly despite how you feel for owning an Apple product. And lastly Apple is trying something new with the way they are distributing the Apple Watch with an all online release only which means more stress on their systems which means unforeseen things, like data perhaps not aggregating properly or the likes.

I do not intent to troll anyone, I ordered an Apple Watch right at midnight too and have gone into the Apple Store several times just to try it on and take a look at it, but some of you people are starting to become downright nasty and unreasonable in terms of the flow or information and expecting that each of your cases is unique and special. Keep it real:apple:
