Maybe Siri will be able to actually add minutes to a timer. Alexa and Google do this with no issues as well as having multiple timers.
Also, context awareness is nice, but assuming you don't have mobility issues, the share button should be right there and you don't have to worry about Siri sending that selfie to your definitely-not-crush-omg by accident on purpose. The Siri supposed enhancements don't even seem like proper AI to me. "Send this!" and it knows it is the photo on your phone... What would it think you were trying to send without AI? A return package to Amazon in your back yard somewhere?
How can you turn most of them off? I thought it was either on or off.Based on what I've seen already I don't want any more Apple Intelligence features. I've turned most of them off so I'm happy to do without tbh.
I reside in the United Kingdom, which is still a part of Europe. Consequently, we have access to all the available products, including writing tools. Europe is a vast area encompassing numerous countries. As I live in Europe the whole thing is vapourware.
Considering Siri told me the next Friday the 13th is on Saturday Jan. 18, I think I’ll just keep deciding what’s important without Apple’s help.Considering how... questionable... some of Apple Intelligence's notifications currently are, I wonder if it'll actually do a good job figuring out what's important and what's not...?
You’re not missing anything…They sure ain't coming to my iPhone 13 mini!
It’s too bad that you can’t adjust the memory movies to show slides for a longer amount of time. 4.3 seconds is what I would recommend. It’s what works for my brain when slides are changing. They move way too fast, and I have written Apple hundreds of times about this and they refuse to do anything, so I will not use that “feature”. To be honest, I miss iMovie 6. The software was logical and it was easy to create a movie and anything after that has been crap. Thanks for letting me vent.
Don’t expect too much from it… a processor swap here and there and you can wait for a few years for the next “big thing”.Looks like it's all Hardware news after January and the release of macOS 15.3.
Join the club and get used to it. You know Timmy said they’ve been working on it for years 🤥I use chatGPT a lot, because it works great for what i need at work.
Sadly Apple Intelligence has been a big disappointment so far. Everything is half baked.
Why nobody dares to ask Timmy the burning questions? If every good journalist dares to asks those critical questions and gots banned by Apple there won’t be any story left. I’ve so many questions I could ask Timmy. And no… I don’t take the answer that they’ve been working on AI for years for granted. If so, the iPhone 15 and before were planned obsolescence. Even the new 16 which comes with a meager 8 Gb of ram. Ask Timmy if that’s enough for the years to come? You know how it works: you write once a bad article about "them", and you are blacklisted by "them"...
...everything must always be "smart", the "most <select idevice> <select iattribute> ever built".
Yes, the new ones that will come out later! And for sure we are able to communicate with Siri through Apple speaker, the HomePod and home mini pod?
There have been a couple of instances where AI has given me impressive results. Copilot with Claude Sonnet has been getting really good, and audio transcribing and summarization with ChatGPT is really something. After trying that Plaud recording device I was amazed at how good it was.So far AI in general is mostly hype, maybe it will become impressive, along with Apple Intelligence, but for now it is all mainly gimmicks. That said, I was able to make a hilarious emoji of an angry Santa Claus with a bottle of whiskey, Apple Intelligence was really a game changer.
