Usually ( but not always) the European stores tend to go down first when a new product is released , but all the stores tend to come back online at around the same time. The UK store tends to go down at around midday local time in the UK - so about an hour to go, if Apple follow there usual process.

Well, since the Ultra-Portable is mainly to conquer the Japanese market, and the whole Japan / East regional stores are Down.... We're going for a home-run!! (p.s. Do not mind me. I'm up 36 hours... cannot sleep!! Ultra Portable please!)

Why is the US store still up ?

US store is normally last when updates are going to come out, I believe its becuase they have more resources to do a quick transition.

5 models? How about this:

- Macbook Mini 11" (flash hard drive, no optical drive)
- Macbook 13" (lite)
- Macbook 13" (regular)
- Macbook 13" (black)
- Macbook Pro 15" (with LED backlight, only one model)

Would make sense to me.
