Five New MacBook Configurations for Tues, May 15th?

Even if we dont get this today, think about how much fun we've had with the rumours.

I'm hoping for a new MacBook. All i want is the Santa Rosa.....just for the improved graphics. If they give us that then i'll definitely get it, if not....well heck, i think i'll still get it anyway. I couldnt possibly wait another 3 months for an update.

This will be my first apple! I cant wait to get off this vista shaite.

Hopefully the day i've registered wont be remembered as a big let down :(

The Geforce 8x00 and Radeon 2x00 series both do.
Of course Apple will use something from one of these lines in the SR MBP.

So hoping I won't have to end up waiting for Penryn, Leopard and new cool GPU at the end of the year. Hurry up and release the damn thing Apple!

Pfft. There's only 5 and a half hours of Tuesday left for us Aussies, and I imagine the New Zealanders have already gone to bed...

Here's to finding out about "Tuesday" updates Wednesday morning!

It's only been an hour and a half for us on the west coast of the US. But usually that's when things are out already. We'll see in a few more hours for sure though.
 
Ok, hype is high. Overdue for updates. New chip release just occured. WWDC around the corner to talk about success. Hardware needed to keep sales up until delayed release of OSX in October. No new iPods until iPhone is out 1 month from now. So has to be hardware. iMac is due for radical overhaul worthy of WWDC or other "Steve" event. So MacBooks looking fine for tonight :)
 
i just don't see the colors happening for MB, for the matter i don't see 5 different MB happening. how much of a change can they really make to the MB or the MBP? i'll believe it when i see it.

A bit faster CPU, faster bus, more addressable RAM, faster RAM, better powermanagement... What makes you think it offers no benefit to MBP? Besides, MBP is due for an update (More so than the MacBook), and they could update other things besides the CPU and chipset.

I'm another who would be amazed if there was a 15" MB. Screen size is the single most important factor for me in getting the Powerbook over the iBook, and would be again when I eventually replace it. (The sooner the better, as after 3.5 years of serious use, it's suffering from pitting, a missing F2 key, scratches on the screen where an idiot client ran not only his fingers, but his finger nails, a dead battery, and an increasingly annoying loose power connector, and as of this week a dead hard drive :D )

If it wasn't for the 15", the MB really is powerful enough (especially in comparison to the old PB) for my needs, and would be tempted to go with it and spend the savings on software upgrades for example.

(Although I might not be kidding anyone, I'd be inclined to go for the high spec 15" MBP. Although, I notice a low end 15", specced up to 2GB RAM, and 160GB HD comes in at £1539 compared to £1699 for the high end, which would probably be my sweet spot.)

Will probably hold out for leopard / xmas (need more pennies first), but it's good to see updates and see how much more I'm going to get for the money. Hard to believe now that the current PB set me back £1,999.
 
Macbooks

i don't think anything will be launched today, all models MB and MBP's are still available within 24H , usually you see these delivery times go up when Apple is about to introduce a new model.
They could of course decide to launch new models, and sell of the previous generation for less, but they've never done that in the past to my knowledge :apple:
AND, It's past 10AM here in the UK, nothing yet, however things could start to change when the US business days are well underway on both East and West coast... :apple:

Vouchers? No - you get Tiger now and the option to buy it for the normal price in october.
But you have also the option to wait.
You can even wait until 2010, when Lion will ship..

Lol, yeah 9.15 pm Tue 15th May NZ time- looks like if anything does come of this I won't know untill tommorrow.

Meanwhile, world keeps on spinning ;)
 
Its about time :apple: release some new hardware there is too much iPhone stuff going on when most of us just want to see some cool new products, bring them on!!

Thinksecret reports that they will probably be released at 8:00 AM eastern time, so still some time to go... :D
 
Is it my imagination or did the price on refurbs just drop?

All refurbs are back in stock but prices have gone down $50-$100 on C2D macbooks.

EDIT: Maybe not. They are back in stock, but I can't read correctly. Prices look to be the same. All those core duo/c2d options threw me off... anyway, time for bed.

I think Apple will be concentrating on their MacBooks because they just seem to be so popular.

I want a bigger screen MacBook... I don't need any pro features... saying that, a super small 12" would be cool too... 5 models, that seems amazing.

BTW: UK store usually goes down around 12.30
 
Man, I would love to see an ultra thin macbook and a new 17"er. A new case design on the mac book pros would be good too, there are a few annoying things about the current 17" (ie. screen not bending far enough back, and not a strong enough spring, only space for 1 hard drive, old graphics card, unevenly lit screen)
