Typical

I hope they aren't new MacBooks, just bought one last Friday as I was tired of waiting for a new release. Typical, few days later and presto a new edition.

It happens. Don't get too discouraged; you can probably get it swapped for a newer one if you give Apple a call (assuming that's what's being updated today).

yes i have

if a newer version of a product gets updated you can exchange for a newer one only if it gets updated with 15 days of the date of purchase

Wait, please explain this some more - I just go in with my receipt (15 days to the day) and whammo, they give me the updated one?

Is there some lingo I need to drop? Policies/procedures? Restocking fee?

Or do I just walk up and say, "please give me the new laptop."

Your best bet is to call them.

I know full well that the Apple Site usually doesn't go back up until 2 pm (UK Time), and all you excited people are distracting me from working. Please stop posting.;)
