Who has been using third-party camera apps without issue? I’ve yet to experience this problem in any app. Just seems odd that they say software can fix it, but you would think every phone would be doing the same thing.
I don't have the issue on my 14 pro max, tried a bunch of third party apps...

A week is a long time for people to use phones and damage them potentially. Really shows how sloppy apple has become under Timeh Time to leave Tim.
Exactly! Asking the hundreds of thousands of potentially impacted customers to wait another week to use their >$1k phone is ridiculous. I haven't even had this camera issue, I've had a laundry list of other issues, though...

Hopefully SOMETHING on my list of issues gets addressed. Filing Feedback with Apple is like tossing pennies into a black hole.

Yea there will be a massive replacement plan upcoming. Imagine the millions of 14 and 14PM that have been shipped out already with exactly this issue.
All of my images taken with the main 48mp camera are blurry. I haven't experienced the clicking yet but my phone heats up very fast once using the camera app.
I haven't had the blurriness but it has got exceedingly hot from both GPS and camera. Battery has been ok, except for when the GPS was stuck on (due to a web page I think). Better reception than my old iPhone 12 pro.

Perhaps being an early adopter has bit us this time.

My 14 Pro has been fine. I tested Snapchat, Instagram and Twitter and everything works normally.

Well since they can’t be sure if it caused permanent damage it is probably safer to exchange it while they can.
I’m not sure Apple would allow an exchange when there’s been no detectable damage. But I also agree with you (and if I owned an iPhone 14 Pro) in which this issue had appeared a few times, I might be inclined to return the unit to get my money back, and then re-purchase a new unit a day later. While there may not be any detectable damage right now, maybe it’s weakened components enough that such components wear out earlier in the future?

In other words, while an exchange probably wouldn’t be possible, a return would be.

(Or am I missing something here?)

The Bloomberg report said they "hoped" the software fix would solve the issue. I wouldn't put much faith in the software fix, fingers crossed I'm wrong.
I’m convinced there’s a bad batch of camera components and that this still isn’t really a software issue. I’m not the only one reporting no issues.

If this does eventually end up requiring the camera module get replaced, because only the regular 14 got the easy-to-repair redesign, iPhone 14 pros won't be a quick fix. Not sure the easy off back would allow for faster access to the cameras anyway, but just in case you were wondering if this would be a minor recall...it won't.

Some people are being told it will take upwards of six weeks for their phones to be swapped out. After they send them in.

Try procam 8.
Almost 80 procent hit the issue will appear
