Ironpants. It's 10x worse than flappy bird.

Obviously this has to be some hack / gaming of the App Store. It's the same thing as Flappy Bird. Almost all of the first 100+ reviews of Ironpants look essentially the same, talking about don't download this, mentioning Satan, Hitler, and other crazy stuff. They don't look to be legit reviews.

According to the screenshot posted by Arn in the OP, the #4 free game is Super Ball Juggling, which is by the same developer as Flappy Bird. If he can't deal with all the fame and such, why leave a game on the store that's #4 in the rankings?

Maybe the developer of Flappy Birds and/or his friends are just messing with everyone and showing how easily they can manipulate the Store and get everyone talking about them.

What kind of "pressure" was he getting? People telling him they like his work? Oh, the horror. Don't worry, the stupid game will be back by year's end.

He seems to be in Vietnam? Maybe someone called him up and wondered if he has played a game with concrete shoes??

You don't get it do you? With the media these days and their desperate attempts to have something "news worthy," He's probably being harassed non-stop about the death that the game brought.

I get it completely.

Don't like the attention ignore social media. Easy.

I miss it already...

Wouldn't be surprised if family pressure had him pull it form the store. I have seen some family dynamics where success beyond that of your parents or grandparents is viewed as a threat to the family elders.

While in the USA, there is no legal recourse a family elder can do for a descendant that earns more money, I have seen family and even church pressure make them concede.

"In a tweet last week he said 'Please give me peace.', and yesterday, he announced that the game would be removed from the App Store today."

Dong Nguyen needs some psychological help. For the money he was making a day, he should have been able to deal with a little bit of attention. It's not like he was Brad Pitt and couldn't go out in public without the papparazi going crazy...

What exactly is your point? I'm willing to bet a poll would favor my opinion to yours.

My point is a response to your Quote in my post. perhaps reading my response in context might aid in understanding my point.

As far as a poll goes, I'm sure that you're right that your opinion would be supported...here.

I don't come to my beliefs and opinions by a poll, but by study, careful consideration, extensive thought, and experience.

I could care less what a poll says...

 Smart move, just Beyonce dropping her latest on iTunes, over night. I believe IT WILL be back on the App Store. There will be some lame excuse as to why he added back to the App Store. To be making that much, per day/per month and saying he cannot handle the attention it's getting, REALLY?? Wow!

It's THAT stressful…… what, he cannot sleep at night? When he laughing all the way to the bank…… prove me wrong.

Popular opinion is usually right. And being right more often than not is good enough.

I forget what this argument is even over. Shrink had to pull his "I'm a doctor" stunt and argue a simple comment.

Except that every person he has ever met would likely know about his success and sudden wealth.

There would be a huge amount of social pressure... plus the media pressure and family pressure.

I know that if I won the lottery, I would keep it to myself. Money can make a mess of relationships.

I don't fully understand the pressure he's feeling and I don't want to discount it, but my first thought was: "first world problems..."

Oh I see your deal. You think that your medical degree means you know people better than anyone else here.

You need to chill out. The dude is abnormal.
I don't need an effin medical degree to have that opinion nor do I need to answer for my opinions.

Most here share my opinion, thus my opinion isn't unreasonable.

He could've taken the alleged money he's been earning and, oh, I don't know - hire a full time staff that handles "customer service" issues. Let them sort through the emails and tweets and compile the top priorities to tackle with bug fixes. Then review it once a week. I mean for a FREE game, people shouldn't have huge expectations on bug fixes.

I've been playing the game for two weeks now and have yet to find a bug, unless having ridiculously close pipes together counts as a bug.

..and then his simple life is further complicated by being a boss.

I'm seeing a lot of people who simply don't understand that not everyone is the same, has the same goals or same lifestyle. It's quite disheartening to see someone with a different lifestyle be labelled as "abnormal".

The guy isn't you. He has different values to you. The end?

(not defending the game - I find it full of plagiarism and not very fun)

???

Where is this guy from? Anyone? If he's from a North Korean type society then this makes some sense. Those folks over there are killed for being "too capitalist". I just don't buy this whole idea that he's backing out because he hates fame or money. That just does not happen.

He is from Vietnam from what I understand.

You actually had to check? What did you think it would just "magically" disappear from your phone?

It's Flappy Bird. Of course one has to check. And check again after scoring only a "4." Either that or throw the phone against the wall!

59k a day? I highly doubt he got 5000$ for the entire month.

I'm a SEO so I know.
50k a day x 30 days = 1,5 million which is completely absurd.
