Doesn't solve performance issues on my box

Didn't work for me. I see the white square running a youtube video and I'm still seeing 80% cpu use in FF. It drops right back down when I kill the flash tab. I'm on a very recent macbook pro 13".

thanks!

Played perfect, and no lag whatsoever. Even have VMware open, along with mail, and Safari and activity monitor.

Wow, never been able to watch a video in HD flash without killing it for frustration after 1 min.

No problem. Do you get lag with Firefox? Things look fine in Safari for me but I notice the lag in FF.

$600 crappy PC blows my $2k Macbook out the water!!

Well in terms of video playback that is! I has the displeasure to spend a day or two with a nice little Lenovo laptop with Windows 7 installed and a GeForce 320M Nvidia card. I was blow away on how well it plays back 1080p youtube footage . I believe flash and windows 7 are using GPU mojo hence very low CPU cycle usage. My poor 2009 MacbookPro was running at 60% CPU utilization while this little laptop was running at about 10%.

Great news but Apple please take your winky out of your bum and get working on this now cos there was a lot of talk about open CL, Grand Central GPU magic and I don't see jack S*** yet.

I have the dual 9400m / 9600 Gt but I run the faster card most of the time so I don't see a use for this? Am I expected to log out and switch back to the slower card just to watch TOPGear!!

Adobe as well. They still have crap Flash tools on Macs and Linux systems. My CPU usage is down, but not overly down as if I were to use HTML5.

They both were idiots. They both pointed the finger at each other when all they had to do was work together. It appears Adobe though is caving and doing their part. Will Apple?

Really a garbage update, they are leaving a lot of Mac users out...

Last week Apple allowed GPU acceleration for the cards currently supported. So they're not leaving a lot of Mac users out, they're just supporting the ones that Apple allowed.

Made a big difference on my macbook air. I never could play fullscreen flash video for more than a few seconds without it turning into a jerky hot mess. YouTube, Fox shows, and Hulu all work great now. 10.1 is turning out to be a really big improvement.

Explain to me what magic you think Adobe can pull out of their anus to make Flash suddenly more advanced than all of these internet standards. Adobe is too busy trying to fix performance issues on Flash, let alone add anything. Everything they've added just added more bloat. It needs a rewrite or better yet to just go away.

Payments will not stop H.264 from eventually steam rolling over Ogg.

Just because you keep calling HTML5 a "standard" in every other post doesn't make it so. It's a proposed standard that's not even close to being nailed down. Of course you know that, it just doesn't further your hating on Flash.

Does anyone know whether or not the nvidia GT130 in the iMacs that came out in early 2009 are supported?

HTML isn't a standard? Lol.

Hope you enjoy your proprietary flash.

That expression about polishing a turd comes to mind here.

Note: You do know that the mythbusters were able to do what you said? :D

Why do people running old macs or low spec ones keep moaning?

If you had a low spec machine and it was not able to run something or not supported by the "latest thing" well, you'd think about upgrading.

Can't go on forever with old tech.

im on a new macbook pro 13" with the new nvidia card.

i installed the update but I don't see the white box when watching videos. I tried to aforementioned transformers video in 1080p and nothing. I tried this in safari, and chrome. I tried to install the plugin for chrome by going into the package contents, but I couldn't find the file to replace. Either way, playback is fine on both browsers, though there is the ever so slightest stutter that keeps the video from being completely fluid as if I was watching something on television. Overall the video playback seems great, and even more, the fans don't whir. However, I'm not sure if this is just in my head or not. The white box is clearly missing.

YES I CAN!

That's why I'm gonna download this on my 8 year old Powerbook, so I can zip through 10 separate windows running youtube and hulu videos!

It's like believing in a deity. If I have faith, then it will be true.~ =)
